Chara Rogue Piece Guide, How to Get & Unlock F Move!

The latest Rogue Piece update adds Chara, a new weapon with several stages to unlock. Getting the basic weapon is already a grind, but the real challenge starts when you try to unlock its two F moves and hidden upgrade.

Chara requires dungeon farming, boss kills, human-race quests, soul collection, and even a secret questline tied to the Genocide ending. So, is all that effort actually worth it? Here is everything you need to know.

How to Get Chara in Rogue Piece

The Chara NPC can be found on Abyss Hill Island. The NPC gives you the requirements needed to obtain the weapon, with the required materials coming from the newly added Judgment Hall dungeon and its Chara-related boss.

To begin farming, travel to Rogue Town and spawn the Judgment Hall dungeon. You will need to repeatedly complete this dungeon and defeat the Chara boss until you have collected all of the materials required by the NPC.

Once you have everything, return to the Chara NPC on Abyss Hill Island and interact with it to purchase the weapon. The base version comes with four available moves, while the F move starts locked.

Chara Weapon Moveset

Chara’s basic moveset is already quite solid, especially considering that you can obtain it before completing the much longer upgrade questlines. Its visual effects are also one of the better parts of the weapon, making the attacks feel more impactful.

The C move is a counter and stands out as one of the strongest abilities in the initial moveset. Chara also comes with an Undying passive, giving the weapon additional utility outside of its normal attacks.

How to Unlock Chara’s First F Move

The first F move requires you to return to Abyss Hill Island and speak with another Chara NPC. However, there is an important requirement before starting this questline: you must be using the Human race. You also need to consume 10 Vials, which can be obtained from the Chara boss. After meeting the initial requirement, you can begin working through the following quests:

• Kill 5,000 mobs while using the Human race.
• Absorb 10 Determination Wills.
• Complete 30 Judgment Hall dungeons.
• Kill 20 Chara bosses while using the Chara weapon.
• Deliver 10 Heart Lockets to the Chara NPC.

The Determination Wills are different from the Vials, so make sure you do not confuse the two items. Determination Wills can be obtained by defeating specific bosses while using the Human race. The bosses involved include Thrag, Esganor, Saberalter, Uliora, Sagunda, Atapa, and Modulo Yuji. Once every quest has been completed, you will unlock Chara’s first F move.

What Does Chara’s First F Move Do?

The first F move acts as a powerful damage-boosting mode. It also comes with a special cutscene when activated, making it feel like a proper upgrade rather than just another attack. However, this is not the final version of Chara’s F ability. There is another hidden F move that requires an entirely separate secret questline.

How to Unlock Chara’s Secret F Move

The second F move is considerably harder to obtain. Its questline is connected to the Genocide ending, and some of its requirements are hidden rather than being directly displayed through normal quests or items.

After completing the hidden requirements, return to the other Chara NPC to begin the secret questline. The first major objective is to complete 20 Save Point quests.

Save Points appear every five minutes. The game announces when one appears, while an indicator shows which island currently has the Save Point. Interacting with it gives you a random objective. These objectives can include:

• Opening 500 chests.
• Completing five dungeons.
• Killing another player.
• Defeating 500 mobs.
• Completing other random objectives.

After completing 20 of these quests, you can continue to the next stage of Chara’s secret progression.

Kill 1,000 Bosses With Chara

The next requirement is to defeat 1,000 bosses while using the Chara weapon. The good news is that the bosses do not appear to be restricted to a specific target.

Because of this, you can use a relatively convenient boss location such as Throne Island and repeatedly farm bosses there. This is still an extremely long grind, but choosing an efficient farming location can make the requirement much easier to complete.

Collect 12 Human Souls

The next stage requires 12 Human Souls. There are six different soul types available, meaning you need two copies of each one.

The required souls and their bosses are:

• Patience Soul — dropped by Stark.
• Bravery Soul — dropped by Esganor.
• Integrity Soul — dropped by Taniro.
• Perseverance Soul — dropped by Maharaga.
• Kindness Soul — obtained from Remuru.
• Justice Soul — obtained from Yuhabaha.

Each soul has a 25% chance to drop, so expect to spend some time farming these bosses. You need two of every soul to reach the required total of 12.

Find the Real Chara Knife

After collecting the souls, you will need to find the real Chara Knife. This is another rare objective because the knife does not simply sit in one permanent location. The Chara Knife can spawn every five minutes with a 15% chance. When it appears, the game will notify players that it has spawned. It can appear on three different islands:

• Glacier Island
• Throne Island
• Wcomando

There is another important restriction here. You cannot simply pick up the knife without completing the hidden questline requirements first. Make sure the secret Chara progression has been unlocked before searching for it.

Complete the Final Soul Quest

The final requirement is to deliver the 12 Human Souls to the Chara NPC. These are the same souls you collected earlier, meaning you need two Patience, two Bravery, two Integrity, two Perseverance, two Kindness, and two Justice Souls. Once you complete this final step, Chara’s second F move becomes available.

Chara’s Secret F Move

The second F move is where Chara starts becoming much more interesting. You first need to activate the initial F ability, after which the F move changes into the Erase Timeline ability. The attack comes with another unique animation and deals extremely high damage. Testing it against world bosses shows that the ability can take a significant chunk of their health.

Its damage becomes even more impressive when used with stronger races such as Vasticar. Against some of the hardest bosses in Rogue Piece, the Erase Timeline ability can still deal serious damage.

Is Chara Worth the Grind?

Chara is definitely one of those weapons where the answer depends on how far you want to take it. The basic weapon is already useful, with a counter, good VFX, an Undying passive, and a solid collection of attacks.

The first F move adds another major upgrade, but getting there requires thousands of mob kills, dozens of dungeons, boss farming, and Human-race progression. The secret F move is an even bigger commitment because of the 20 Save Point quests, 1,000 boss kills, rare soul drops, hidden requirements, and Chara Knife hunt.

For players who want one of the strongest and most unique weapons available, Chara is worth the grind. The second F move is especially impressive because Erase Timeline provides huge damage and makes the weapon much more valuable for boss farming.

For casual players, however, the full secret progression may not be necessary. Getting the base Chara weapon and first F move already gives you a strong weapon without forcing you through the entire hidden questline.

Chara is not an easy weapon to obtain, and the developers clearly designed its progression around long-term grinding. The base weapon is good, but the real reward comes from completing the two F-move progression paths. If you are willing to spend the time farming Judgment Hall, bosses, souls, Save Points, and the hidden requirements, Chara can become an extremely powerful weapon. The Erase Timeline F move alone makes the secret questline worth considering for serious Rogue Piece players.
