How to Get V2 Weapons in Project Slayers 2 Guide!

Project Slayers 2 has several V2 weapons that can be crafted after unlocking access to the Dungeon area. Before you can start farming the materials, you first need to complete the quest that leads you to the hidden forge. The process requires Dungeon points, Metal Scraps, Silk Thread, and Mythic Refinement Ore. Once you have everything required, you can craft the V2 weapon of your choice and then continue toward the V3 upgrade.

How to Unlock the Dungeon

Start from the main game and travel toward the Hidden Mist Village. Look for the NPC connected to the forge and talk to him about his other forge. After accepting his quest, travel toward the Forgotten Ruin near Rengoku. Follow the road past Rengoku and continue through the torii gates. At the end of the long path, you will be transported to the Dungeon area. You generally need to be around Level 65 to access the Dungeon content, so make sure your character is strong enough before attempting the quest.

How to Craft V2 Weapons

Once you enter the Dungeon area, you can prepare yourself with potions and other supplies before starting a run. The Dungeon can be started by interacting with the book in the area. Your main goal is to earn at least 90,000 Dungeon Points.

Reaching around Floors 60 to 70 should generally give you enough points, depending on your performance during the run. After earning enough points, head to the Nutrient Forge. This is where the V2 weapon recipes can be found. The basic V2 requirements include:

  • 90,000 Dungeon Points
  • 500 Metal Scraps
  • Silk Thread
  • 10 Mythic Refinement Ore
  • The required Dungeon materials for the selected weapon

Metal Scraps and Silk Thread can be obtained from chests. Mythic Refinement Ore is more specialized and can be obtained through the Dungeon system.

How to Get Mythic Refinement Ore

One method is to spend 30,000 Dungeon Points to obtain the ore. You would therefore need a large amount of Dungeon Points if you want to farm all 10 Ore through this method. Another option is to complete Denzo’s quest. After unlocking his salvage feature, you can dismantle Mythic-rarity items for Mythic Refinement Ore.

This can be much more convenient if you already have a collection of Mythic items from previous farming. Instead of repeatedly spending Dungeon Points, you can salvage unwanted Mythic equipment to obtain the Ore you need.

How to Upgrade V2 Weapons to V3

After crafting your V2 weapon, return to the Blacksmith in the main game. Your newly crafted weapon should unlock its corresponding V3 crafting recipe. The general requirements for a V3 weapon include:

  • 1,000,000 Cash
  • 1,000 Silk Thread
  • 1,000 Metal Scraps
  • The corresponding V2 weapon
  • The required V3 schematic

The difficult part is usually obtaining the correct schematic. Each weapon has its own method, and several of them require exploration, puzzles, or special quests.

Serpent V3 Schematic

The Serpent schematic is one of the more complicated Slayer weapon schematics to obtain. Start around the Port area and search through the water for a Serpent Key. There are numerous keys scattered throughout the water, but not every key will work for your character. You need to keep searching until you find the correct one.

Once you obtain a key, take it toward the cave near the village. Enter the cave and proceed through the area until you reach the location where the key can be used. The process can require repeatedly swimming through the Port area, checking keys, and returning to the cave. Because the correct key is different for each player, there is no single key location that works for everyone.

Nightfall Katana Schematic

The Nightfall Katana is considerably simpler to find. Travel toward the waterfall area and enter the water. Swim underneath the waterfall until you reach a small hidden cove. From there, swim upward and climb the nearby wall.

The Nightfall Katana schematic can be found at the top. Interact with it to collect the schematic for your V3 crafting requirements. The weapon is associated with several breathing styles, including Flame, Wind, Water, and Thunder according to the available information.

First Light Insect Katana Schematic

The First Light Insect Katana can also be found around the water areas near the Hidden Mist Village. Look for the bridge near Shobu and search underneath it. There is a small opening in the area that leads toward the schematic.

Enter the hidden section and interact with the First Light Insect Katana schematic to collect it.

Nightfall Stone Weapon Schematic

The Nightfall weapon for Stone Breathing can be found in the upper section of the Hidden Mist Village.

Start near the shrine and make your way toward the higher mountain area. You need to climb toward a building located above the village.

Mobility skills can make this much easier because reaching the upper section can be difficult with normal jumping.

Once you reach the top, look around the building for the Stone Breathing Nightfall weapon schematic.

First Light Katana and First Light Spear

The First Light Katana and First Light Spear are located in a hidden underground area near the snowy section of the map.

Travel toward the area where Doma spawns and look near the Wind trainer. Jump down toward the water and swim toward the statue.

There is a hidden entrance near the statue that leads underground. Inside this area, you can find several weapon schematics.

To find the First Light Spear, take the appropriate path through the underground area and continue forward until you reach its schematic.

For the First Light Katana, return toward the earlier section and take the other route. Continue through the passage until you find the Katana schematic.

The First Light Katana is classified as a Sentinel weapon, which gives it additional blocking capability. Nightfall Katana is classified as a Duelist weapon and focuses more on damage.

First Light Sound Katana

The First Light Sound Katana requires a small obstacle course. Start in the area toward the left side of the snowy region and look for the cave with a patch of grass around its entrance.

Enter the cave and continue through the passage. You will eventually reach a series of platforms that require jumping and dashing.

Take your time while crossing the platforms because there is no major time pressure. Double jumping followed by a dash can help you reach some of the harder sections.

Continue through the cave until you reach the Sound Breathing NPC. Talk to him to begin the encounter and defeat him to obtain the required schematic.

The NPC is relatively strong, so bringing another player can make the fight easier if your character is not fully prepared.

Nightfall Gauntlets Schematic

The Nightfall Gauntlets require a longer quest involving three hidden statues.

Start in the middle section of Hidden Mist Village and enter the house containing the NPC wearing gauntlets. Talk to him to begin the quest.

He will tell you to locate three statues around the map. Each statue requires a different method to activate.

First Statue

The first statue can be found near the Dungeon area around the Harbor.

Travel toward the Dungeon entrance and look for the statue holding a Katana. Use any Katana to attack the statue repeatedly.

You may need to hit it many times before it activates. Around 100 hits is a useful target based on the observed quest behavior.

The statue may not update immediately because of a visual or progression bug. If the eyes do not appear to change, leave the area and return.

When the statue’s eyes glow brightly, it means the first objective has been completed.

Second Statue

The second statue is located near the cave around the upper windy area of the map.

Enter the cave and look for the statue holding a Demon Orb. Slayers need to use their Breathing Style skills against this statue, while demons can use their BDA abilities.

Continue attacking until the statue activates.

If the glowing effect does not appear immediately, travel away from the area and return to reload the location. Once its eyes are glowing, you can move on to the final statue.

Third Statue

The final statue is located near the Hidden Mist Shrine.

Follow the path upward from the shrine and move toward the right side. You will need to climb across the surrounding branches and higher terrain.

Continue climbing until you reach the upper section. A lever beneath a balcony can help identify that you are in the correct area.

At the top, you will find the third statue. Unlike the other two, this one must be damaged using your fists.

Attack the statue repeatedly until it activates. Again, leaving and returning to the area may be necessary if the visual effect does not update correctly.

How to Get the Nightfall Gauntlets Schematic

After activating all three statues, return to the NPC inside the Hidden Mist Village.

Talk to him again after completing the statue objectives. If all three statues have been activated, he will reward you with the Nightfall Gauntlets schematic.

You can then use the schematic alongside the required V2 weapon and crafting materials at the Blacksmith to work toward the V3 version.

First Light vs Nightfall Weapons

Some of the First Light and Nightfall weapons share similar weapon types and can work with several of the same Breathing Styles. However, their classifications can differ. For example, the First Light Katana is classified as a Sentinel weapon, giving it additional blocking benefits. The Nightfall Katana is classified as a Duelist weapon, which provides additional damage.

This makes the choice more dependent on the type of combat setup you want to use rather than simply choosing one weapon because it is easier to obtain.

Getting V2 weapons in Project Slayers 2 starts with unlocking the Dungeon and collecting enough points and crafting materials. Once you have a V2 weapon, the next step is finding its matching V3 schematic.

Several First Light and Nightfall schematics are hidden around the map, while others require quests, combat encounters, underwater exploration, or puzzles. The Serpent schematic is particularly time-consuming because its correct key is different for each player, while the Nightfall Gauntlets require you to activate three separate statues before receiving the schematic.
