Dungeon Lootr has received Update 2, bringing several new additions for players to check out. The update introduces four new classes, with three of them available without paying, along with a new Payload game mode and the highly anticipated Kokushibo class.
The update also adds two Celestial classes to the class reroll area. While there is plenty of new content to explore, some of the additions have received mixed reactions, especially Kokushibo and its ultimate ability.
New Classes in Dungeon Lootr Update 2
Update 2 adds four new classes to Dungeon Lootr. Three are free-to-play options, while Kokushibo is locked behind a paid requirement. Two of the new Celestial classes can be found in the class reroll area:
- Magic Witch
- Necromancer
The update also introduces the Kokushibo class as the main premium addition.
Magic Witch Class
Magic Witch is one of the two new Celestial classes added with Update 2. The class comes with a new weapon model that fits its theme and has several abilities to use during combat.
However, the class currently feels fairly simple compared with some of the other options in the game. Magic Witch does not have an ultimate ability, and there does not appear to be a new NPC connected to an awakening system for the class.
Because of this, Magic Witch may not feel like a major upgrade for players who are already using stronger classes. Its weapon design is one of the more noticeable parts of the addition, but its current gameplay features are relatively limited.
Necromancer Class
Necromancer takes a completely different approach to combat. Instead of relying only on direct attacks, much of the class’s damage comes from its summoned skeletons.
The class can summon up to three skeletons at a time. These summons can then be managed with several different abilities:
- Heal the skeletons to keep them active.
- Explode the skeletons to deal damage.
- Empower the skeletons to increase their damage output.
This makes Necromancer a more interesting class to play, especially for players who enjoy summon-based characters.
Like Magic Witch, however, Necromancer currently does not have an ultimate or awakening system. Even without those features, the ability to control multiple skeletons gives it a unique playstyle.
Payload Game Mode
Another major addition in Update 2 is the Payload game mode. This mode introduces objectives that are different from the usual dungeon experience.
One of the main features is a shop where players can spend the mode’s rewards on different items. The shop includes a class, cosmetics, titles, and other rewards.
Payload also has mechanics that require players to protect allies and prevent important characters from being defeated. This gives the mode a different objective compared with simply clearing enemies.
The mode can also be played solo. A Nightmare difficulty run is possible without a team, and the provided gameplay shows that soloing Nightmare can be relatively manageable once players understand the objectives and mechanics.
Kokushibo Class
Kokushibo is the main premium class added in Dungeon Lootr Update 2. Unlike several of the other new additions, this class is locked behind a paywall. The class has a unique cosmetic and uses its own set of combat abilities. Its visual effects are one of its strongest points, with several attacks featuring detailed VFX and flashy animations.
The class also has multiple moves that can be tested and upgraded through mastery. However, its ultimate ability has caused some concern because of how it currently performs.
Are the New Classes Worth Trying?
The new classes offer different gameplay styles, so their usefulness depends heavily on what type of character a player wants to use.
Magic Witch is more straightforward and currently lacks some of the features that could make it stand out. Necromancer is more interesting for players who enjoy managing summons and building their damage around skeletons.
Payload is also worth checking out for players who want a different type of dungeon experience. Its protection objectives and shop rewards give players another reason to spend time outside the standard gameplay loop.
Kokushibo is more complicated. Its visual effects and regular abilities look impressive, but the reported ultimate issue significantly affects the overall experience. Since it is also a premium class, players may want to wait for further fixes or testing before deciding whether it is worth getting.
Dungeon Lootr Update 2 Overview

Kokushibo has some impressive visual effects and combat moves, but its ultimate reportedly fails to deal damage during testing. Since the class is also placed behind a paywall, this makes its current state disappointing for players expecting a polished premium addition. Hopefully, future patches will address the ultimate issue and improve some of the missing features across the new classes.
