Skill Points are an important part of character progression in Slayers 2. Whether you choose the Slayer path or become a Demon, these points are used to unlock different upgrades from the Skill Tree. Knowing where to spend them can make early progression much easier, especially when you start fighting stronger enemies.

You earn around 3 Skill Points per level, and the points are shared between both paths. There is no separate Skill Point currency for Slayers and Demons. You can use the same pool for body stats, movement, weapons, Breathing skills, Blood Demon Art skills, and Clan passives.

How Skill Points Work

You can open the Skill Tree through the M menu and purchase available nodes one at a time. Some abilities require you to unlock previous nodes before they become available.

One thing that should not be confused with Skill Points is Mastery. Your normal character level and Mastery level are separate progression systems. Reaching around level 25 can give you access to certain trainers, but it does not mean that every skill or form for your build is automatically unlocked.

Some later abilities can require both Skill Points and enough Mastery progression. Because of this, leveling up alone will not complete your entire build.

Best Early Game Skill Point Priorities

From levels 1 to 25, movement and survival should be your main focus. There is not much benefit in rushing into expensive damage or Clan nodes when your character still struggles to move around the map or survive basic fights.

Wall Climb and Double Jump are particularly useful early upgrades. Some trainers and important locations can be found on cliffs, rooftops, or other areas that are difficult to reach without better mobility.

Unlocking these movement skills early can save you a lot of time while exploring and looking for trainers.

After getting the important movement upgrades, start investing in Stamina and Block-related upgrades. Early combat often revolves around blocking attacks, dashing, and managing your stamina correctly. More stamina gives you additional options during fights and helps prevent you from running out of energy at the wrong moment.

Focus on Health and Regeneration

Once your movement feels comfortable, Max Health and Health Regeneration become useful investments.

Having more health gives you more room for mistakes while learning the combat system. Health regeneration can also make general progression easier because you do not have to spend as much time recovering between fights.

This is especially useful if you are still learning enemy attacks or fighting stronger enemies for the first time.

Pure damage upgrades can wait until your basic survival needs are covered. The same goes for deep Clan branches. There is little reason to spend many points on specialized passives when your character still lacks basic movement, stamina, or defensive upgrades.

Use Codes During Progression

It is also worth using available Slayers 2 codes early in your progression. Free rewards can help you build up resources while you are leveling and working toward your preferred build. Spins can be useful when trying to improve your character, while materials such as Demon Horns and Beast Cores may also become important for progression and other requirements. The exact value of codes can change as new updates arrive, so make sure you check the currently active codes before spending time farming resources.

Skill Points After Unlocking Breathing or BDA

Your priorities start to change after you obtain a Breathing Style as a Slayer or a Blood Demon Art as a Demon. At this point, start investing in the core skills and forms that actually belong to your chosen playstyle. There is no need to unlock every available ability if you are not going to use it.

For Slayers, focus on the forms connected to your selected Breathing Style. For Demons, put points toward the useful abilities in your Blood Demon Art. However, do not completely ignore survival. If stronger enemies or other players are defeating you too quickly, continue putting points into Stamina, Health, and other defensive upgrades before chasing more damage.

Choose Weapon Skills Carefully

Weapon upgrades become more useful once your core character stats and main combat abilities are in place. The important part is to choose weapon skills that match the weapon you actually use. Spending Skill Points on random weapon branches can leave you with abilities that provide little value to your current build.

Before purchasing a weapon node, consider whether that weapon is part of your normal combat setup. If you rarely use it, those points may be more useful elsewhere. A focused build is generally easier to manage than one that spreads points across several unrelated weapon types.

When to Spend Points on Clan Skills

Clan passives can be tempting, especially when you see powerful bonuses deeper in the Skill Tree. However, these upgrades are better saved for later in your progression.

Your Clan can also affect how worthwhile those investments are. If you are not sure that you will keep your current Clan, spending a large number of points on its deeper branch may not be the best use of your points.

It is safer to build your core character first. Once your movement, stamina, health, main combat skills, and weapon setup are established, you can start using remaining points to improve Clan-related bonuses.

Slayer Skill Point Build

For a Slayer, a simple progression can look like this:

  1. Unlock Wall Climb and Double Jump.
  2. Improve Stamina and Block-related upgrades.
  3. Increase Max Health and Health Regeneration.
  4. Unlock the important skills for your chosen Breathing Style.
  5. Add weapon skills that match your preferred weapon.
  6. Improve additional survivability if needed.
  7. Invest in Clan passives once your main build is complete.
  8. Use remaining points for stronger Breathing forms and late-game upgrades.

Slayer progression also involves finding the correct trainers and meeting their requirements. Trainer access generally starts around level 25, although individual styles can have additional material or progression requirements.

Demon Skill Point Build

The general idea is similar for Demons, even though their progression route is different.

A Demon build can follow this order:

  1. Get your basic movement upgrades.
  2. Invest in Stamina and defensive stats.
  3. Improve Health and Health Regeneration.
  4. Unlock the important skills for your Blood Demon Art.
  5. Add weapon upgrades that fit your combat style.
  6. Improve useful BDA passives and higher-level abilities.
  7. Invest in Clan upgrades later.
  8. Finish the build with late-game passives and stronger BDA skills.

The Demon route has different requirements involving Reputation, Muzan, and obtaining a Blood Demon Art. However, the Skill Points themselves still work in the same way and can be spent across body stats, mobility, weapons, BDA skills, and other available nodes.

Best Way to Spend Skill Points in Late Game

Late-game progression is less about simply trying to survive and more about improving a build that already works.

Once you have enough health, stamina, mobility, and core abilities, you can start spending points on stronger forms, additional passives, weapon improvements, and higher-level upgrades.

This is also the stage where specialized builds become more important. Instead of trying to unlock everything, focus on the abilities that support the way you actually play.

For example, a player who mainly fights with a specific weapon should prioritize its useful upgrades rather than spending points on several other weapon branches. The same idea applies to Breathing Styles and Blood Demon Arts.

The best way to spend Skill Points in Slayers 2 is to build your character in stages. Early on, prioritize movement and survival instead of rushing toward expensive damage or Clan upgrades.

Wall Climb, Double Jump, Stamina, Block, Max Health, and Health Regeneration can provide a strong foundation. After obtaining your Breathing Style or Blood Demon Art, shift your focus toward the core abilities for that specific build and add weapon skills that you will actually use.

In the late game, Skill Points are mainly used to polish your build with stronger forms, passives, and advanced upgrades. Whether you choose Slayer or Demon, having a focused Skill Tree is more useful than spreading your points across abilities that do not fit your playstyle.
