Doctor Scramble’s Revenge Update in Steal an Egg Guide!
Steal an Egg has received another major event through the Doctor Scramble’s Revenge update. The update adds new Eggs, pets, the Dr. Scramble’s Lab, a new Mastery system, a boss fight, special event spawns, and a preview of the next biome.
One of the biggest changes is how the Laboratory works. Instead of sacrificing pets that have already been hatched, players can now submit Eggs directly to create exclusive Eggs. This makes the new system much easier to use when collecting materials.
Doctor Scramble’s Revenge Event
Doctor Scramble’s Revenge is a new event featuring Admin Abuse activities and special spawns throughout the server. During the event, players can encounter rare Eggs, Secret Eggs, Eternal Eggs, and other limited rewards.
Doctor Scramble also returns as the main boss of the event. The fight has several phases and different mechanics, requiring players to pay attention to his attacks and the moments when he becomes overheated.
Dr. Scramble’s Lab
The Dr. Scramble’s Lab is one of the main additions in this update. The Laboratory allows players to create special Eggs by submitting specific Eggs required by the current recipe.
This is different from the previous event system because you no longer need to hatch the required pets before using them. You can simply collect the required Eggs and submit them directly to the machine.
The Laboratory also has a rotating selection of recipes. Because of this, the Eggs required for the machine can change after each reset.
How to Use the Laboratory
Using the Laboratory is fairly simple once you have the required Eggs. First, check the current recipe and then search the map for each Egg needed by the machine. Follow these steps:
- Go to Dr. Scramble’s Lab.
- Check the currently available recipe.
- Find all of the required Eggs.
- Place the Eggs into the Laboratory.
- Sacrifice the required Eggs.
- Wait for the new Egg to be created.
- Collect the resulting Egg.
- Hatch it to see which pet you receive.
The recipe can change over time, so check the Laboratory again after each reset before starting another Egg hunt.
Unstable DNA Egg
The Unstable DNA Egg is one of the major Eggs players can work toward through the Laboratory. It is part of the experimental content introduced with Doctor Scramble’s Revenge.
There are also other experimental and toxic-themed Eggs connected to the event. Some of these Eggs are tied to the new Mastery progression and can become useful for completing different parts of the update.
Since the Laboratory recipes rotate, you should always check which recipe is currently active before collecting Eggs.
Doctor Scramble Mastery
The update also adds a Mastery system connected to Doctor Scramble. Players can increase their Mastery by participating in the event, with defeating the boss being one of the main ways to progress.
The Mastery track contains multiple rewards that unlock as you continue completing the required objectives. Some rewards require a large amount of progress, meaning you will need to repeat the event several times.
One of the major goals requires players to defeat the boss 100 times. This gives players a reason to keep returning to the event even after they have already obtained some of the new Eggs.
How to Defeat Doctor Scramble
Doctor Scramble is the main boss of the update and has several phases during the battle. He has a large amount of HP and can use attacks that cause players to become ragdolled. One of the most important mechanics is Overheat. When Doctor Scramble overheats, players have an opportunity to deal heavy damage before the fight continues into another phase.
Keep these things in mind during the fight:
- Watch for the Overheat phase.
- Attack the boss heavily while he is overheated.
- Avoid the Shockwave attack.
- Watch out for the drones that appear during the fight.
- Stay away from dangerous area attacks.
- Return to the fight quickly if you are ragdolled.
- Pay attention when the boss changes phases.
- Destroy the Cores when the final mechanic appears.
Core Damage Mechanic
During the later part of the fight, players cannot simply keep attacking Doctor Scramble’s main body. A Core mechanic appears that requires players to destroy specific objects.
Several Cores can appear around the boss. Destroying them allows the fight to continue and can cause Doctor Scramble to become vulnerable again.
Pay close attention to the instructions shown during this phase. Missing the Core mechanic can make the final part of the battle take much longer.
Doctor Scramble Rewards
Defeating Doctor Scramble rewards players with Samples or event tokens that can be used for progression. The exact amount can depend on the event and the activities completed. The boss also contributes toward Mastery progression and can be connected to different Egg rewards.
During Admin Abuse, additional rare Eggs can also appear throughout the server. Doctor Scramble can return after a certain period, allowing players to repeatedly fight the boss for more Mastery and event rewards.
Doctor Scramble Pity
The Pity system initially had a requirement of 200, but the requirement was later reduced to 100.
This makes the Pity system easier to progress compared with the original version. If you are trying to reach specific event rewards, make sure to take advantage of each available event cycle.
New Eggs in the Update
Doctor Scramble’s Revenge introduces multiple Eggs through the event and Laboratory system. Some of the Eggs that appear in the update include:
- Biohazard Egg
- Experimental Egg
- Unstable DNA Egg
- Gorilla King Egg
- Cosmic Gorilla Egg
- Orca Egg
- Pterodactyl Egg
- Salamander Egg
- Snowy Owl Egg
- Swordfish Egg
- Red Panda Egg
- Crane Egg
- Dodo Egg
Not all of these Eggs are available at the same time. Some are used as ingredients for Laboratory recipes, meaning you may need to wait for the required Egg to spawn.
New Pets
The update also adds a collection of new pets that can be obtained through the event and its Eggs. Some of these pets have high rarities and can become valuable additions to your collection.
Several new pets can also provide significant income for your base. Some of the showcased pets can generate billions per second, making them useful for players trying to improve their money production.
Some of the names associated with the update include Octoant, Rhino Bear, Toxic Crocodile, Pink Dragon Experiment 010, Dread Stinger, and other experimental creatures.
New Biome Coming Soon
After completing the Doctor Scramble encounter, players can also get a preview of another area that is planned for a future update. This location appears to be connected to the next biome.
The new area gives players an early look at upcoming content, even though it is not the main focus of Doctor Scramble’s Revenge.
Some existing locations have also changed. The previous Secret Area inside the Ocean Biome has been removed, likely because it was no longer needed for the new content.
Admin Abuse
Admin Abuse is one of the biggest parts of Doctor Scramble’s Revenge. During the event, special Eggs can spawn throughout the server, giving players opportunities to obtain Secret, Eternal, and other rare Eggs.
The available spawns can vary between servers, so keep an eye on the event announcements and chat while Admin Abuse is active.
Temporary boosts can also appear during the event. These boosts can help players increase their income or speed up progression while the event is running.
Doctor Scramble’s Revenge adds a large amount of new content to Steal an Egg, with the Dr. Scramble’s Lab being one of the biggest changes. Players can now collect specific Eggs and use them directly in Laboratory recipes instead of waiting for the Eggs to hatch first.
