Anime Expeditions is a Roblox tower defense game where players collect characters inspired by popular anime, build a team, and use their units to clear different stages. The game received the Endless Hellflame update on September 25, 2026, adding new characters, items, and other content for players to unlock.
One of the new additions is Crimson Captain, a Secret-tier unit inspired by Benimaru from Fire Force. Getting this unit requires Infernal Dust, while its stronger Moon form can be unlocked by crafting a special item called Mysterious Mask.
Who Is Crimson Captain?
Crimson Captain is a Secret-tier unit added to Anime Expeditions with the Endless Hellflame update. The character’s design is based on Benimaru, one of the well-known characters from Fire Force.
The normal version can be obtained through the District 7 Secret Banner. However, getting it is not guaranteed because Secret units have a very low summon chance.
The unit can also be evolved into its Moon form after you collect and craft the required item. The Crimson Captain (Moon) has the following stats:
- Rarity: Secret
- Element: Flame and Magical
- DMG: 330
- SPA: 3.4s
- RNG: 13
Step 1: Get Infernal Dust
Before you can summon Crimson Captain, you need Infernal Dust. This currency is obtained by playing and clearing the District 7 Boss Rush event.
You will need to spend this currency on the District 7 Secret Banner. Each banner roll costs 100 Infernal Dust, so make sure you collect enough before trying to summon the unit.
If you have 3,000 Infernal Dust, you can also perform 30 rolls at once. However, having enough Dust does not guarantee Crimson Captain because the unit has a one-in-300 chance of appearing.
Step 2: Summon Crimson Captain
Once you have enough Infernal Dust, travel to the District 7 Secret Banner and start rolling. Each roll requires 100 Infernal Dust.
The Crimson Captain has a 1-in-300 summon chance, meaning you may need to spend a large amount of Dust before getting the unit. The result is based on the banner’s chance, so there is no fixed number of rolls that guarantees the character.
Keep collecting Infernal Dust from District 7 Boss Rush and use it to make additional rolls until you obtain Crimson Captain.
Step 3: Craft Mysterious Mask
After getting Crimson Captain, the next step is preparing the item needed for its evolution. The required item is called Mysterious Mask, which has Secret-tier rarity.
You need the following materials to craft it:
- 5x Spirite (Red)
- 5x Spirite (Purple)
- 5x Spirite (Pink)
- 10,000 Gold
Make sure you have all three types of Spirite along with the required Gold before attempting to craft the mask.
Step 4: Evolve Crimson Captain
With Crimson Captain and Mysterious Mask ready, go to the Evolve area in Anime Expeditions. The Mysterious Mask is used together with the other required evolution materials to unlock Crimson Captain’s Moon form.
Open the evolution menu, select Crimson Captain, and check the required items. Once everything is available, start the evolution process to transform the unit into Crimson Captain (Moon).
The Moon form is the evolved version of the Secret unit and has its own stats, including 330 DMG, a 3.4-second SPA, and 13 RNG.
Getting Crimson Captain in Anime Expeditions requires some farming and luck. Start by playing District 7 Boss Rush to collect Infernal Dust, then use 100 Dust per roll at the District 7 Secret Banner. The chance of getting Crimson Captain is 1 in 300.
After obtaining the unit, craft Mysterious Mask using the required Spirite materials and 10,000 Gold. Finally, head to the Evolve area and use the mask with the required materials to unlock Crimson Captain’s Moon form.
