How to Get Cryokinesis in Slayers 2 Guide!

Cryokinesis, also called Ice Manipulation, is one of the powerful Demon Arts available in Slayers 2. It gives you several useful attacks, including AoE damage, crowd control, stun, guard breaking, and long-range attacks. This makes it useful for fighting bosses and groups of enemies.

To unlock Cryokinesis, you first need to obtain the Cryokinesis Orb. After that, you must complete four different quests before you can fully unlock the Demon Art and start learning its moves. Here is everything you need to know about getting Cryokinesis in Slayers 2.

How to Get the Cryokinesis Orb in Slayers 2

There are two main ways to get the Cryokinesis Orb. You can either try your luck with the Demon Art gacha in Muzan’s Lair or obtain the Orb by opening certain Chests. Both methods have their own requirements, so you can choose whichever one is easier based on the resources you currently have.

1. Roll for It in Muzan’s Lair

You can access Muzan’s Lair after becoming a Demon and obtaining the Biwa Bell. Use the Biwa Bell to enter the area, then find Muzan and interact with him.

Choose the option to ask Muzan for his powers. This will open the Orb gacha, where you can roll for different Demon Arts.

The gacha works with the following chances:

• 50% chance of getting nothing.
• 50% chance of receiving a random Evil Art.
• There is no specific drop rate for Cryokinesis.
• There is no pity system for the Demon Art gacha.

You can use Spins to perform your rolls. Ores can also be used if you do not have enough Spins. Since Cryokinesis is selected randomly, you may need several attempts before getting the correct Orb.

2. Open Chests

The second option is to hunt for Chests and open them. This is useful if you do not have enough Spins or Ores for the Muzan gacha. Different Chests have different chances of dropping the Cryokinesis Orb. The known rates are:

• Ice Chest: 2%
• Rare Chest: 2%
• Common Chest: 1%
• Lost Chest: 1%
• Snow Chest: 0.67%
• World Events Chest: 2%

These Chests can be obtained from bosses and certain World Events. Before fighting a boss, you can check the right side of the screen above its HP bar to see which Chest it can drop.

How to Start the Cryokinesis Quests

Once you have the Cryokinesis Orb, open your inventory and equip it. Select the Orb and press the M1 button to activate it.

Four quests will then appear on the left side of your screen. You need to complete all four quests to unlock Cryokinesis. The quests must be completed one by one, starting with Meditate and ending with defeating five Mizunotos.

Quest 1 – Meditate

The first Cryokinesis quest requires you to meditate at the Butterfly Estate. Start by traveling to the Butterfly Estate shrine. From the shrine, head toward the house located around 138 degrees east. Enter the house and look for a mat inside.

Stand near the mat and press T to start the meditation mini-game. Your goal is to fill the progress bar until it reaches 100%. During the mini-game, watch the yellow circle carefully. Press M1 when the yellow circle is inside the blue area. Continue doing this correctly until the progress reaches 100%.

Once the bar is full, the first Cryokinesis quest will be completed.

Quest 2 – Boulder Split

For the second quest, you need to complete a Boulder Split mini-game at Windy Peak. First, travel to the Windy Peak shrine. From there, head north and pass the areas where the Bandit and Zuko enemies are located.

Continue toward the edge of the area, then turn right and travel east. When you reach the edge, look toward the left side. You should find two boulders sitting on the ground. Approach one of the boulders to start the mini-game. You need to move the circle across the rectangle while avoiding mistakes.

The objective is to survive for 30 seconds. You have three lives, so you can make a few mistakes before failing the challenge completely. After surviving the full 30 seconds, the Boulder Split quest will be finished.

Quest 3 – Underwater Rocks

The third quest requires you to find several Underwater Rocks around Bamboo Grove Sanctuary. This can take more time than the previous quests because the rocks are underwater and can be difficult to spot.

Travel to the Bamboo Grove Sanctuary spawn point and follow the marker provided by the game. The marker looks like a broken rock and will help guide you toward the locations. Once you reach the marked area, dive underwater and search for the rocks. They can be found in the waters around Bamboo Grove Sanctuary.

The Underwater Rocks look similar to Betty’s Gemstone. If you have already completed the Betty’s Gemstone quest, you should have an easier time recognizing them and knowing where to search. Using a Gourd is also recommended because it increases your breathing capacity. This gives you more time underwater while searching for the required rocks.

Collect all of the Underwater Rocks shown by the quest markers to complete the third Cryokinesis quest.

Quest 4 – Defeat 5 Mizunotos

The final quest is simple compared to the underwater challenge. You need to defeat five Mizunotos. Head to Mistfall Harbor and find the Shady Individual Rooyi NPC. You will find five Mizunotos around this area. They will attack you once you get close, so make sure you are prepared before approaching them.

Using a weapon with AoE attacks can make this quest easier because multiple Mizunotos can attack you at the same time. A Cutlass can be used for this fight, although you may need several attempts depending on your character’s strength.

Mizunotos can also use Breathing Styles, so rushing into a group of them can make the fight harder. Try to block their attacks and wait for a good opening before attacking. If all five enemies attack at once, cross the red bridge and wait for them to return to their spawn locations. You can then approach one Mizunoto at a time and defeat them separately.

After defeating five Mizunotos, all four Cryokinesis quests will be completed.

All Cryokinesis Moves in Slayers 2

After unlocking the Demon Art, you can start spending Skill Points and Mastery Points to unlock its moves. Cryokinesis has several attacks that focus on AoE damage, freezing enemies, crowd control, and long-range attacks.

Here are the currently known Cryokinesis moves:

Wintry Icicles – Z

Wintry Icicles is the first move and requires 3 Skill Points. It creates an AoE attack in the area you select, allowing you to damage multiple enemies at once.

The attack can also stun enemies caught inside its range. Because it can be used from a distance, Wintry Icicles is useful for starting fights before enemies get close to you.

Cold White Princess – X

Cold White Princess requires 17 Mastery Points and 6 Skill Points. This move focuses on controlling a single enemy.

When used, it grabs an enemy and prevents them from moving. After several seconds, the attack blasts the target for additional damage. The downside is that your character becomes immovable for a short time after the skill ends.

Barren Hanging Ground – C

The requirements for Barren Hanging Ground have not been confirmed yet. This move has different effects depending on how far you are from your target.

At long range, it launches a cloud of ice that knocks enemies backward before exploding after traveling a certain distance. At close range, it performs slashes and fires a cloud of ice slashes at nearby enemies.

Enemies hit by this attack can also be prevented from moving or attacking for a short period.

Freezing Cloud – V

Freezing Cloud requires 40 Mastery Points and 12 Skill Points. It launches an ice cloud toward the area you select.

The cloud deals AoE damage, making it useful when several enemies are grouped together. Since the attack can be aimed at a selected location, it can also be used while keeping some distance from your target.

Bodhisattva – B

Bodhisattva requires 53 Mastery Points and 15 Skill Points. You also need to defeat Domae to obtain the required drop.

The move summons an ice-like girl that attacks enemies for you. It can break an enemy’s guard and also apply a stun, giving you another way to control enemies during combat.

Best Way to Use Cryokinesis

Cryokinesis works well when you keep your distance from enemies. You can start a fight with Wintry Icicles and deal damage before the enemy gets close. The AoE effect also makes it useful when several targets are grouped together.

When an enemy reaches you, Cold White Princess can be used to grab and immobilize them. After that, you can continue with other Cryokinesis attacks while taking advantage of the crowd-control effects.

For longer fights, Barren Hanging Ground, Freezing Cloud, and Bodhisattva give you more options for attacking from a distance. The combination of AoE damage, stun, freezing effects, and guard breaking makes Cryokinesis especially useful for PvE content.

Once you have unlocked the full moveset and collected enough Mastery and Skill Points, Cryokinesis can become a strong option for progressing through bosses and groups of enemies in Slayers 2.
