Castorice is one of the newest powerful additions to Lineage Piece, and getting her requires several steps. You need to complete a questline, collect special materials, unlock the True Demigod race, and defeat Castorice’s boss. The process can take some time, but once everything is finished, you can unlock Castorice and later work toward her Mastery. Here is the full process from start to finish.
Start the Polyxia Questline – Guide
The first step is to travel to Elysian Island. Several new NPCs can be found in this area, including the NPC that starts the Polyxia questline. After accepting the quest, you will receive an Unknown Scythe Combat. This weapon is required for the first part of the questline, so make sure you equip and use it. The first objectives are related to dealing damage and defeating bosses with the Unknown Scythe.
Deal Damage With the Unknown Scythe
The first quest requires you to deal damage using the Unknown Scythe. Simply equip the combat and attack enemies until you reach the required damage amount. You can use normal mobs to make the process easier.
Defeat 40 Hard or Extreme Bosses
The next task requires you to defeat 40 Hard or Extreme bosses while using the Unknown Scythe. You can use other abilities to help reduce the boss’s health, but make sure the Unknown Scythe is used for the required kills. Choose bosses that you can defeat quickly to save time.
Collect 50 Soul Chrysalis
After finishing the boss objective, you need to collect 50 Soul Chrysalis. These materials can drop from mobs while the Polyxia quest is active. The easiest method is to find an area with a lot of mobs and farm them repeatedly. You can also AFK farm if you have a suitable setup. Keep farming until you collect all 50 Soul Chrysalis.
Escort Polyxia
Once you have completed the previous objectives, return to the NPC. Interacting with the NPC will take you to another area where you need to protect Polyxia and guide her toward the end of the area.
The easiest way to complete this section is to clear the enemies in front of her first. Move Polyxia forward, clear the next group of mobs, and repeat the process. Do not rush too far ahead and leave her surrounded by enemies. Clear the path step by step until she reaches the destination. After completing this section, you will receive the Stixie and Oal, which are needed for the next part of the Castorice progression.
Unlock the True Demigod Race – Guide
Before you can properly progress toward Castorice, you also need the new True Demigod race. To start this questline, you first need to have the normal Demigod race. Demigod can be obtained through the race reroll NPC on Lineage Island. Once you have Demigod, find the NPC for the True Demigod quest.
Deal 2.5 Million Damage
The first requirement is to deal 2.5 million damage using the Unknown Scythe. Equip the Unknown Scythe and farm enemies or bosses until the required damage has been reached.
Collect 30 Reason Fragments
The next objective is to collect 30 Reason Fragments. These can be obtained from Hard or Extreme bosses. However, the important part is that the True Demigod quest must be active when you defeat the bosses. Farm bosses repeatedly until you have all 30 fragments.
Defeat 15 Hard or Extreme Bosses With Gilgamesh
After collecting the Reason Fragments, you need to use Gilgamesh to defeat 15 Hard or Extreme bosses. Make sure Gilgamesh is equipped when completing the required kills. You will also need to collect the Crown of Uruk. This item drops from the Gilgamesh boss, but the quest must be active for the drop to count. After completing all of these requirements, return to the NPC to unlock the True Demigod race. The race also provides buffs that can help with your character’s overall build.
How to Get Castorice
Once the race requirement and other progression steps are finished, you can move on to Castorice herself. The Castorice NPC can be found in the new area connected to her boss. The materials required to unlock Castorice can be obtained by farming her boss.
To reach the boss, use the Stixie and Oal obtained from the Polyxia questline. Using it will teleport you to the Castorice boss area. Once you arrive, you can repeatedly fight the boss and collect the required materials. Keep farming until you have everything needed to unlock Castorice.
Castorice Combat and Abilities
After obtaining the required materials, return to the Castorice NPC and unlock her combat. Castorice has a flashy moveset with large visual effects and fast attacks. Her abilities also have a distinct fantasy-style design that makes the combat stand out compared with many other Powers and Combats in Lineage Piece.
The combat can also be enchanted, allowing you to further improve your build. Modifiers can be used as well, so players looking to maximize Castorice’s damage can continue upgrading the combat after obtaining it.
How to Unlock Castorice Mastery
Getting Castorice is only the beginning. You can also unlock her Mastery by completing another questline. There are two Mastery NPCs located in the same area as the Castorice boss. Interact with the Castorice and Polyxia NPCs to begin the Mastery progression.
- Deal Damage With Castorice The first Mastery quest requires you to deal damage using Castorice. Equip Castorice and attack enemies until you reach the required amount.
- Defeat a Hard or Extreme Boss Next, you need to defeat a Hard or Extreme boss while using Castorice. Pick a boss that you can defeat consistently. Make sure Castorice is being used for the required kill.
- Collect 100 Soul Unwaving Looms The final normal quest requires 100 Soul Unwaving Looms. These materials can be collected from mobs while the quest is active. Find an area with a large number of enemies and farm them until you have all 100 items. Once the requirements are complete, return to the NPC to unlock the next challenge.
Complete the Castorice Mastery Dungeon
After finishing the Mastery questline, you will have to enter a special Castorice dungeon.
The dungeon has a time limit, so you need to finish the fights before the timer runs out.
There are two Castorice boss waves:
- Normal Castorice boss
- True Castorice boss
The first fight is against the normal version. After defeating it, the True Castorice boss appears.
The dungeon is fairly straightforward if your character has enough damage. Focus on avoiding attacks while looking for openings to deal damage.
Defeat both bosses to finish the dungeon and obtain the materials required for Castorice Mastery.
Unlock Castorice Mastery
After clearing the dungeon and collecting the required materials, return to the Castorice Mastery NPC. Interact with the NPC and complete the final requirement to unlock the Mastery. Once unlocked, you can equip Castorice with her Mastery abilities and access the upgraded version of her combat. The Mastery version adds even more visual effects and gives Castorice a much more powerful-looking moveset.
Castorice Build and Damage
Castorice can be further improved through your build, including Enchants and Modifiers. For damage testing, the combat can be paired with stronger equipment and buffs to see how much damage the full setup can produce.
Her main strength is not only the damage output but also the animations and visual effects. The Mastery version gives the combat an even bigger presentation, with attacks that look similar to something from a gacha-style action game. Players who enjoy flashy abilities may want to spend extra time farming the materials for her Mastery.
