If you started playing as a Demon in Slayer 2 but now want to return to the Slayer path, there is an important limitation to know first. At the moment, the game does not provide a direct way to turn your existing Demon character back into a Slayer while keeping all of your current progress.
However, you still have a couple of options if you want to start playing as a Slayer again. Your choice depends on whether you want to keep your current Demon character or are willing to completely restart your character.
Can You Change From Demon to Slayer?
Currently, there is no direct Demon-to-Slayer conversion option in Slayer 2. You cannot simply open the settings or character menu and change your existing Demon into a Slayer while keeping its levels, items, and other progression.
Instead, you need to start a new character or reset your current one. This means you should think carefully before making a decision, especially if your Demon character already has valuable items or a lot of progress. There are two main options available:
- Create a new character slot.
- Reset your existing character.
Create a New Character Slot
The safest option is to create another character slot. This allows you to keep your current Demon character while starting a completely new character that can follow the Slayer progression. Go back to the main menu and open the Slots section. From there, you can manage your available character slots and create a new one if you have the required option available.
The downside is that an additional character slot requires Robux. However, this is the better choice if you do not want to lose your Demon character and everything you have collected on it. After creating the new slot, you can begin your progression again and choose the Slayer path for the new character.
Reset Your Current Character
The second option is to reset your current character. This does not require you to keep a separate Demon character, but there is a major cost to consider before using it. Resetting your character removes the progression and items attached to that character. In other words, you will be starting over rather than converting your Demon progress into Slayer progress.
If you are already far into the game or have rare items on your Demon, make sure you are comfortable losing that progress before confirming the reset. Once the character has been reset, you can begin from the start and choose the Slayer progression again.
Steps to Become a Slayer Again
If you want to return to the Slayer path, follow these basic steps:
- Return to the Slayer 2 main menu.
- Open the Slots section.
- Decide whether you want to create a new character or reset your current one.
- If you create a new slot, keep your existing Demon character and start with the new slot.
- If you reset your character, confirm the reset after making sure you are okay with losing its progress and items.
- Start the new character.
- Choose the Slayer progression and begin leveling again.
Which Option Should You Use?
The biggest difference is what happens to your existing Demon character. Creating a new slot lets you keep that character, making it the option to consider if you want to preserve your Demon progress.
Resetting is more suitable if you do not mind starting over and do not want to spend Robux on another character slot. Just remember that the reset does not transfer your Demon progress into the Slayer path. Before making either choice, check your character’s inventory and progression so you know exactly what you could lose.
For now, Slayer 2 does not have a direct feature that converts a Demon character back into a Slayer. You cannot switch paths while keeping the same character progression and items.
If you want to become a Slayer again, your choices are to purchase an additional character slot and start a new Slayer character, or reset your current Demon character and begin again. If keeping your Demon progress matters to you, make sure you use the character slot option rather than resetting it.
