Anime Zero Beginner Guide – How to Start, Get Stronger, and Clear Dungeons

Anime Zero is now available, giving players a new anime-inspired dungeon game to explore. The game focuses on clearing rooms filled with enemies while using different weapons, skills, upgrades, and accessories to increase your power.

There are currently 11 weapons spread across five rarities, with Epic being one of the lower rarities and Zenless sitting at the top. Anime Zero also has several game modes and progression systems, so knowing what to focus on first can make your early progress much easier. Here is a beginner guide covering what to do after starting the game, how to improve your weapons, and how to make your first dungeon runs easier.

1. Redeem Codes and Claim Group Rewards

The first thing you should do after entering Anime Zero is claim all available free rewards.

Start by redeeming the current codes. These can provide useful resources such as rolls and other materials that help you build your account during the early game.

You should also join the game’s Roblox group and claim any rewards connected to it. Getting these bonuses before starting your first dungeon gives you more resources to work with when upgrading your weapons.

Once you have collected the free rewards, you can start preparing your equipment.

2. Roll for a Good Weapon

Head over to the weapon roll system and use your available spins. You will not have a large number of rolls when you first start, so do not worry about immediately getting the rarest weapon in the game. A Legendary weapon is already a solid starting point and should give you enough power to begin clearing content.

As you continue playing, you can collect more rolls and try to obtain higher-rarity weapons. Anime Zero allows you to equip two weapons at the same time. Make sure both slots have a weapon before entering a dungeon.

You can switch between your equipped weapons during a run, so having two useful options can give you more flexibility when dealing with different groups of enemies.

3. Get a Damage Enchant

After getting your weapons, visit the enchant system. There are several different enchants available, but new players should focus on increasing their damage first. The Power enchant is a useful early option because it directly helps you deal more damage to enemies. Later in your progression, you can start looking for stronger options such as:

  • Power
  • Hunter
  • Bloodlust
  • Supernova

You do not need to chase the strongest possible enchant immediately. A useful damage-focused enchant is enough to make your early dungeon runs easier.

4. Upgrade Your Weapon Skill Tree

Every weapon has its own skill tree that you can upgrade as you progress. When you first start, you receive a token that can be spent on the damage node. This provides an additional 15% damage, making it one of the first upgrades you should unlock.

As you use your weapon and level it up, you will earn more tokens for its skill tree. The skill tree can provide several different types of upgrades, including:

  • Damage
  • Critical chance
  • Defense
  • Movement speed

For early progression, prioritize damage and critical chance. These upgrades help you eliminate enemies faster and make dungeon clears more efficient. If you are losing too much health, you can put some points into defense instead. Surviving longer can be more valuable than maximizing damage while you are still learning the combat system.

5. Start With Story Mode

Anime Zero currently has three main modes:

  • Story
  • Defend
  • Infinite

Story Mode is the best place to begin because it lets you learn how the combat system works without immediately jumping into more difficult content. During a dungeon run, you will move through different areas while fighting groups of enemies. Each section contains waves that you need to defeat before progressing.

Take some time to learn how your weapons work, including their skills, cooldowns, attack ranges, and movement.

6. Group Enemies Before Using Area Skills

One of the easiest ways to improve your dungeon clears is to avoid wasting area attacks on individual enemies. Instead, try to bring several enemies together before activating your skills. Move around the area in a way that causes enemies to follow you toward the same location. Once enough enemies are grouped together, use your area-of-effect abilities.

This allows a single skill to damage multiple targets at once, making your cooldowns much more efficient. However, do not group enemies so aggressively that you end up taking unnecessary damage. Finding the right distance between you and the enemies is especially important during the early game.

7. Be Careful Against Bosses

The final wave of a dungeon features a boss. Bosses have significantly more health than normal enemies and can use their own special attacks. Because of this, you should avoid standing directly next to them without a reason.

If your abilities are currently on cooldown, create some distance and focus on avoiding attacks while waiting for your skills to become available. Your first few runs are a good opportunity to learn boss attack patterns. Once you understand when a boss attacks and how its abilities work, you can start playing more aggressively.

Staying alive is more important than dealing a little extra damage if you are still learning the fight.

8. Collect Coins and Experience

Completing dungeon runs rewards you with Coins and experience. Your experience contributes to your account progression and unlocks different milestones. Make sure to check these milestones regularly because they can provide useful rewards. Progression rewards can include:

  • Coins
  • Gems
  • Materials
  • Rolls
  • Other resources

It is easy to forget about these rewards while focusing on combat, so check the progression screen whenever you return to the lobby.

9. Craft Accessories

Accessories are another important part of improving your character. You can craft them using materials obtained while playing. Different accessories provide different bonuses, so check the available recipes before spending your materials. Depending on your needs, an accessory can improve things such as:

  • Damage
  • Health
  • Coin gains
  • Skill cooldowns

If you are killing enemies too slowly, prioritize accessories that improve your damage. If surviving is your main problem, look for health or defensive bonuses instead. It is also worth checking recipes early even if you cannot craft them yet. Knowing what materials you need allows you to save them rather than accidentally spending them on something less useful.

10. Complete Your Quests

Do not ignore the quest system while progressing through the game. Anime Zero has different objectives that can be completed during normal gameplay. Some may ask you to defeat bosses, spend Coins, or complete other activities. Quest rewards can include:

  • Coins
  • Materials
  • Spins
  • Gems
  • Other useful items

Before entering a dungeon, check your active quests. You may already have objectives that can be completed during your next run. This lets you progress toward several rewards at the same time instead of completing the same activities repeatedly.

11. Check Achievements and Milestones

Achievements are another source of free rewards. Some achievements can be completed naturally while playing, especially those related to clearing dungeons or defeating enemies. Because they do not always require special farming, you can easily forget to check them.

Whenever you return to the lobby, take a moment to look through your achievements and milestones. If you have completed an objective, claim its reward immediately. You should also equip any titles you unlock. Some titles have simple requirements, such as completing a certain number of dungeons, meaning you can start collecting them fairly early.

12. Use the AFK Chamber

If you are taking a break from actively playing, use the AFK Chamber. The chamber provides passive rewards while you remain inside. Rewards are given at regular intervals, allowing you to collect additional resources without actively clearing dungeons.

Players with VIP or Roblox Plus can receive AFK rewards at a faster rate. The AFK Chamber is therefore useful when you are stepping away from the game but still want your account to make some progress.

Anime Zero has several systems to learn, but you do not need to master everything at once. Your first goal should be building a reliable weapon setup and becoming comfortable with the dungeon combat.

A Legendary weapon is already enough to give you a solid starting point. From there, improve your enchant, upgrade the weapon skill tree, and keep clearing Story Mode to collect more resources.

Pay attention to your positioning during combat and learn how to group enemies without putting yourself in unnecessary danger. Against bosses, patience is especially important while you learn their attacks.

As your account develops, use accessories, quests, achievements, milestones, and AFK rewards to build up additional resources. With consistent upgrades, your dungeon clears will become faster and the harder content will become much easier to handle.
