The latest Slayers 2 patch brings several changes to endgame progression, especially for players who are trying to craft powerful gear. The biggest update is the reduction in crafting costs, with weapons, outfits, and accessories now requiring less Wen and fewer materials.

Players who already crafted expensive gear also have something to look forward to. The update includes automatic refunds for the difference between the old and new crafting costs, so previously spent resources are not simply lost.

Slayers 2 Crafting Costs Have Been Reduced

Crafting high-level gear in Slayers 2 could previously take a lot of farming. Tier 1 Series weapons and other equipment could require up to 1 million Wen, along with large amounts of Metal Scraps and Silk Thread.

The new patch lowers these requirements across several equipment types. This makes it easier to work toward powerful Firstlight and Nightfall gear without spending as much time collecting basic resources.

Weapon Crafting Changes

Tier 1 Series weapons now have a much lower crafting requirement:

  • Old cost: 1,000,000 Wen
  • New cost: 500,000 Wen
  • Old Metal Scraps: 1,000
  • New Metal Scraps: 500
  • Old Silk Thread: 1,000
  • New Silk Thread: 500

The cost of the basic materials has effectively been cut in half. You will still need to complete the other requirements for your chosen weapon, but the amount of Wen and common materials needed is much lower.

This is particularly useful for players working toward Nightfall or Firstlight weapons, where the previous crafting prices could make progression feel much slower.

Outfit Crafting Is Also Cheaper

Series outfit pieces have received another significant crafting reduction. The Wen price and material requirements are both lower than before, while the number of required set materials has also been reduced.

The new Tier 1 outfit requirements are:

  • Old cost: 1,000,000 Wen
  • New cost: 400,000 Wen
  • Old Metal Scraps: 1,000
  • New Metal Scraps: 400
  • Old Silk Thread: 1,000
  • New Silk Thread: 400
  • Old set materials: 5
  • New set materials: 3

This should make it easier to complete an outfit set without having to spend several long farming sessions just to afford a single piece.

Accessories Get the Biggest Crafting Discount

Accessories received the largest reduction among the main Tier 1 Series equipment categories. Their crafting cost has gone from 1 million Wen down to just 100,000 Wen.

The updated requirements are:

  • Old cost: 1,000,000 Wen
  • New cost: 100,000 Wen
  • Old Metal Scraps: 1,000
  • New Metal Scraps: 200
  • Old Silk Thread: 1,000
  • New Silk Thread: 200
  • Old set materials: 5
  • New set materials: 2

That means one accessory now saves 900,000 Wen compared with the previous recipe. Combined with the lower material requirements, players can build their equipment sets much faster.

For example, crafting one weapon, one outfit piece, and one accessory under the old prices would have cost 3 million Wen. With the new costs, those three pieces require 1.1 million Wen in total.

That is a 1.9 million Wen difference before even considering the reduced material requirements.

Accessory Tier Upgrades Are Cheaper

The patch also reduces the cost of upgrading accessories. However, this change only applies to accessories and should not be confused with the lower initial crafting prices.

The updated accessory upgrade costs are:

  • Tier 2: 450,000 Wen instead of 750,000 Wen
  • Tier 3: 750,000 Wen instead of 1,500,000 Wen

Weapon and outfit tier-up prices remain unchanged. So while crafting those items is cheaper, upgrading them still uses the previous tier-up costs.

Firstlight Tower Gear Costs Less

The Firstlight top and bottom available at the tower have also received a crafting cost reduction. These pieces now require considerably less Wen and basic materials.

The updated requirements are:

  • Old Wen cost: 500,000
  • New Wen cost: 200,000
  • Old Metal Scraps: 750
  • New Metal Scraps: 400
  • Old Silk Thread: 750
  • New Silk Thread: 400
  • Tower Points: 500,000

The Tower Points requirement remains the same, so the update only reduces the Wen and material portions of the recipe.

Slayers 2 Gives Refunds for Previous Crafting Costs

If you already crafted Series gear before this patch, you do not need to craft another item just to benefit from the cheaper prices. The game includes an automatic refund for players who previously paid the higher costs.

When you next play the character, the game should return the difference in resources spent under the old recipes. This includes:

  • Wen
  • Metal Scraps
  • Silk Thread
  • Set materials

If you have already crafted several expensive pieces, check your inventory and currency after entering the game. The refunded resources can then be used toward another weapon, outfit, accessory, or upgrade.

Nightfall Gear Has New Stats

The patch does more than reduce crafting prices. Several endgame items have also received stat adjustments, including Nightfall equipment.

The Nightfall Top and Bottom now provide:

  • Additional DMG: 2 instead of 1.15
  • Additional DMG Factor: 3% instead of 1.7%
  • Stamina: 95 instead of 58

These changes make the pieces more useful for builds that focus on increasing damage while still gaining additional stamina.

Nightfall Cape Changes

The Nightfall Cape also received offensive and defensive stat improvements:

  • Additional DMG: 1.5
  • Additional DMG Factor: 2%
  • Health: 120 instead of 90
  • Stamina: 80 instead of 58
  • Nightfall Bleed: 0.5% maximum HP per tick instead of 0.4%

The extra health and stamina give the cape more utility, while the damage bonuses make it more useful for offensive setups.

Nightfall Serpent Katana

The Nightfall Serpent Katana also received a damage adjustment:

  • Additional DMG: 4 instead of 3.5

This is a smaller change compared with the crafting reductions, but it gives the weapon a little more flat damage.

Firstlight Weapons Receive a Stat Correction

Some Firstlight weapons were previously using Nightfall statistics by mistake. The patch corrects this and gives them their intended Firstlight stats.

The affected weapons include:

  • Firstlight Bladed Vagasa
  • Firstlight Spear
  • Firstlight Tanto
  • Firstlight War Fans

Their Additional DMG has been reduced from 5.75 to 4, while their Additional DMG Factor is now 14.8%, matching the Firstlight Katana’s listed damage factor.

The weapons also receive their intended Block Points and Block Regen values. Because of this correction, players using older builds or screenshots may notice that their current stats look different.

This is especially important for players using Firstlight War Fans with Kryokinesis. The weapon’s flat damage is lower following the correction, so older information may no longer match the current stats.

Firstlight Armor Gets More Stamina

The Firstlight Top and Bottom have also been adjusted. Their stamina values have increased, while their damage reduction has received a small improvement.

The changes include:

  • Stamina: 100 instead of 63
  • Damage Reduction: 5% instead of 4.6%

These changes give the equipment more stamina while providing slightly stronger damage protection.

Firstlight Mask

The Firstlight Mask now provides:

  • Health: 180 instead of 160
  • Stamina: 75 instead of 63

The higher values make the mask more useful for builds that need additional health and stamina.

Firstlight Lantern

The Firstlight Lantern received several stat increases:

  • Block Points: 5 instead of 1.15
  • Health: 130 instead of 100
  • Stamina: 90 instead of 40
  • Flat Damage Reduction: +1

The large increase to Block Points and stamina gives the lantern a much stronger defensive role than before.

Daybreak Guard Has a Longer Cooldown

Not every equipment change is an increase. Daybreak Guard now has a longer cooldown, meaning its effect cannot activate as frequently.

The cooldown has changed from:

  • Old cooldown: 1 second
  • New cooldown: 1.5 seconds

This is a relatively small adjustment, but it matters for players who depend heavily on the item’s effect during combat.

Loadouts Now Save Titles

Slayers 2 has also improved the loadout system. Loadouts can now save the titles equipped with the setup.

When you load a saved setup, it can also equip the vanity and boost titles stored with that loadout. This can be useful when switching between different setups for activities such as:

  • Damage builds
  • Farming builds
  • Fishing builds
  • Other specialized setups

There is one important detail: older loadouts keep the titles you currently have equipped until you save those loadouts again. Make sure to update your existing loadouts if you want them to use your preferred titles.

Reaping Blades Are Now Demon-Only

The patch also introduces a restriction for certain fighting styles. Reaping Blades and Soaring are now restricted to Demon characters.

Humans can no longer use these fighting styles. If you were using either one on a Human character, you will need to change your setup after the update.

Ranked Matchmaking Changes

Ranked matchmaking has received an adjustment designed to prevent players from being matched against opponents from whom they cannot gain points.

There is also a new benefit for certain VIP players. Players who have maintained VIP for at least one month and still have active VIP through either a subscription or one-month VIP pass can now access ranked matchmaking without verifying their Roblox account.

Firstlight and Lost Mask Hint Change

Players hunting for secrets should also check the descriptions of the Firstlight Mask and Lost Mask. The hint that was previously attached to the Firstlight Mask has been moved to the Lost Mask.

The Firstlight Mask has returned to its previous description. If you are following the game’s clues, make sure you check the correct item after the patch.

What the New Slayers 2 Patch Changes

The biggest part of this update is the reduction in the cost of endgame crafting. Weapons, outfits, and especially accessories now require far less Wen and fewer basic materials.

The automatic refund is another important addition for players who already completed some of the expensive crafting. Instead of being left with the old costs while new players enjoy the discounts, previous crafting expenses can be partially returned.

With the lower prices, reduced material requirements, updated equipment stats, loadout title saving, and other gameplay changes, the patch gives Slayers 2 players several reasons to check their characters again. If you already own expensive Series gear, check your refund first before starting another farming session, as those returned resources could help fund your next upgrade.
