Ultimate Moonlighter Item Price Guide

Moonlighter mixes dungeon crawling with shop management. You explore dangerous dungeons, collect items, then bring your loot back to town and sell it in your shop. The tricky part is deciding how much each item should cost. Set the price too low and you lose potential profit. Set it too high and customers may refuse to buy it, which can also hurt your shop’s popularity.

The perfect price is the highest price you can normally set without causing a negative reaction from customers. The price can also change depending on whether your shop is Popular, your customers are Rich, or both. This Moonlighter item price guide lists the recommended prices for loot, weapons, armor, and merchant items.

How Moonlighter Perfect Prices Work

There are four price situations to keep in mind:

  • Perfect Price – Standard customer and shop conditions.
  • Perfect Price (Popular) – Your shop is Popular.
  • Perfect Price (Rich) – You have Rich customers.
  • Perfect Price (Popular & Rich) – Both conditions are active.

For example, an Ancient Pot normally sells best at 110 gold. If your shop is Popular, you can raise it to 135 gold. With Rich customers, the price becomes 125 gold, while having both conditions lets you sell it for 150 gold. These prices give you a good starting point without needing to test every item yourself.

Tips for Getting More Gold in Moonlighter

Knowing the perfect prices is useful, but you can still make more money by managing your shop properly.

  • Keep expensive loot for customers who can afford it.
  • Take advantage of Popular and Rich conditions when they appear.
  • Don’t sell valuable crafting materials too cheaply.
  • Use cheaper items when you want to increase shop popularity.
  • Dungeon items can often be worth more when used to craft equipment, so check what you need before selling everything.
  • Keep an eye on your inventory because some low-value items can still be useful for crafting.
  • Upgrade your equipment so you can reach deeper parts of the dungeons and bring back better loot.

Moonlighter New Game+ Item Prices

Moonlighter’s New Game+ mode changes the economy along with the difficulty. Item values increase by roughly 5.6 times compared with a normal playthrough. This sounds like a huge jump, but New Game+ lets you carry over money from your previous run, which helps balance the increased prices.

You can also keep some items and gain access to additional equipment, including Pirate weapons. Because of this, the higher prices are not as difficult to handle as they may seem at first.

If you are starting New Game+, make sure you have a good amount of gold saved before beginning the new run.

Moonlighter’s shop system becomes much easier once you understand how its prices work. The perfect price is a good baseline, while Popular and Rich conditions let you push your prices even higher. With the right prices, you can turn every successful dungeon run into a much bigger profit and upgrade your shop much faster.
