Break and Steal an Egg Speed Guide, How to Get & Increase!

Speed is one of the most useful stats in Break and Steal an Egg because it affects how quickly you travel between areas, how much room you have when dealing with guards, and which zones you can enter. However, simply increasing the number is not enough. A good speed progression uses three systems together: the treadmill, Trails, and zone gates. Train your base speed, equip a stronger Trail when it helps, then test the next gate to see if your current speed is enough.

How to Increase Speed

The basic free progression is simple. First, build some income by successfully bringing animals back to your Pen. Then use that income to improve your movement and test new areas. Follow this loop:

  1. Bank a reliable animal to create a steady source of cash.
  2. Train your base speed on the treadmill.
  3. Check the Trail shop for a better movement option.
  4. Equip the Trail after purchasing it.
  5. Test the next zone gate.
  6. Return to farming animals and use the extra income for more upgrades.

There is no need to immediately buy Robux speed packs. A free route can continue to grow through successful deliveries and regular upgrades.

Train Your Speed on the Treadmill

The treadmill is the main way to build your base movement speed. Keep training when travel is still taking too long or when you are close to meeting the requirement for the next zone.

Do not leave the treadmill just because your speed counter increased. If the next area still requires much more Speed, continuing to train can make the next part of your route easier.

Treadmill upgrades can also improve the training setup, but check whether Speed is actually slowing down your current route before spending too much money.

Use Trails to Improve Your Movement

Trails add another part to the game’s movement progression. After buying a stronger Trail, make sure you actually equip it. A Trail sitting in your inventory will not improve your movement.

This is an easy mistake to make when upgrading quickly. After every Trail purchase, check your equipment and confirm that the new Trail is active before testing your route again.

If a new Trail gives you a useful improvement, combine it with treadmill training instead of treating the two systems as separate upgrades.

Test Zone Gates One at a Time

Zone gates provide useful checkpoints for your progression. Rather than trying to skip several areas at once, test the next gate after improving your Speed.

Captured checkpoints include:

  • Forest — 5 Speed
  • Desert — 1K Speed
  • Snowy — 50K Speed
  • Candy — 750K Speed
  • Swamp — 12M Speed
  • Ocean — 150M Speed
  • Hell — 1B Speed
  • Blossom — 5B Speed
  • Galaxy — 25B Speed

These values come from captured footage and screenshots, so they should be treated as progression references rather than permanent values. Updates can change zone requirements.

Opening a gate also does not automatically mean your animal runs are safe. Guards and other parts of the route can still cause problems.

Free Speed Progression Route

For a free player, the main goal is to make each upgrade pay for itself through successful runs.

Start by banking an animal you can reliably steal and return with. Use the cash to train your Speed and improve your Trail when needed. Once your movement feels better, test the next zone.

If the new area creates too much risk, return to the previous route and continue building your Speed. There is little benefit to entering an area where you can technically pass the gate but cannot consistently complete deliveries.

Why Your Speed May Feel Stuck

Sometimes your Speed number looks good but your route does not actually feel faster. There are several possible reasons.

  • You bought a new Trail but forgot to equip it.
  • Your treadmill needs an upgrade before training becomes more useful.
  • The zone is open, but guards still make the route difficult.
  • You are comparing a free route with footage that uses Robux boosts.
  • A recent update changed a price, multiplier, or zone requirement.

Check each of these before assuming that your Speed upgrade is not working.

Speed Checkpoints to Watch

Some captured footage shows specific progression points. One segment reaches the 1K Speed requirement for the Desert checkpoint after returning to the treadmill for more training.

Another section connects a Golden Trail purchase with treadmill training before reaching the 50K Snowy gate. A later segment reaches the Galaxy area at the 25B checkpoint.

The later footage includes paid boosts, so it should not be treated as a timeline for free players. It mainly shows how the treadmill, Trails, and zone gates work together.

Should You Buy Robux Speed Packs?

Robux speed packs can speed up progression, but they are not required for the basic free progression method. If you are playing without spending Robux, focus on successful animal deliveries, treadmill training, Trails, and gradual zone progression.

Paid boosts should also not be used as a comparison when judging how quickly a free account should progress. The important thing is whether your current route is producing enough income to support the next upgrade.

Speed should be upgraded based on the needs of your route rather than simply chasing the highest number possible. Train when movement is slowing you down, equip a better Trail when it provides a useful improvement, and use zone gates as checkpoints.

After unlocking a new area, test the complete route instead of only checking whether you can enter. A successful run needs more than enough Speed. You also need to break the egg, escape the guard, carry the animal home, and place it in your Pen safely. Keep repeating the treadmill, Trail, gate, and income loop until the next part of the route becomes manageable.
