Huss Valley Tier List: Best Abilities, Items, and Knives Ranked
Choosing the right Abilities, Items, and Knives can make a big difference in Huss Valley. Whether you play as a Runner trying to escape or a Chaser hunting down opponents, the right equipment can help you perform better during each round.
This Huss Valley tier list ranks the available options based on their usefulness in a match. S-tier choices offer the strongest gameplay benefits, while lower-tier options are more situational or provide no direct advantage. Use these rankings to decide which Abilities, Items, and Knives are worth using.
Huss Valley Runner Abilities Tier List
Runners need Abilities that help them avoid attacks, escape dangerous situations, and create distance from Chasers. Defensive skills and tools that make it harder for opponents to land a hit are especially useful.
S Tier: Cloak, One Hit Shield
- Cloak: Makes you disappear for three seconds. However, you can still be hit while invisible, and using an Item ends the effect. Nearby players may also see you slightly, so use this Ability to escape at the right moment.
- One Hit Shield: Creates a shield for 0.75 seconds that blocks the next hit before breaking. Its short activation window requires good timing, but it can protect you from an incoming attack.
A Tier: Inflatable Decoy, Pocket Door
- Inflatable Decoy: Sends an inflatable copy of your character running straight ahead for seven seconds. It can distract Chasers, but experienced opponents may recognize the trick. The decoy pops when caught.
- Pocket Door: Places a temporary door in front of you for six seconds. It can interrupt a Chaser’s approach, although they can destroy the door or take another route around it.
B Tier: Emergency Airhorn
- Emergency Airhorn: Blasts nearby Chasers backward in every direction. It can create space when opponents get too close, but its limited range makes it less reliable than the higher-ranked options.
Cloak and One Hit Shield are the strongest choices for Runners because they offer useful escape and defensive options. The other Abilities can still work in specific situations, but they may be easier for Chasers to counter.
Huss Valley Chaser Abilities Tier List
Chasers need to catch Runners before they reach safety. Abilities that increase movement, pull opponents closer, or interrupt their escape are particularly valuable.
S Tier: Rocket Shoes, Rufus’s Leash
- Rocket Shoes: Dashes in your current movement direction or toward the camera when standing still. It is useful for closing gaps and reaching Runners before they escape.
- Rufus’s Leash: Throws a leash up to 15 studs ahead. If it hits a Runner, it pulls them up to six studs toward you. This makes it easier to close the distance and continue the chase.
A Tier: Big Dagger, Bowling Ball
- Big Dagger: Doubles your melee reach for the next hit. The effect expires after five seconds, so you need to use it before the timer runs out.
- Bowling Ball: Rolls a ball along the ground. Hitting a Runner directly briefly trips them, giving you an opportunity to catch up.
B Tier: Bear Trap
- Bear Trap: Throws a trap ten studs ahead. The first Runner who steps on it becomes stuck for half a second, and the trap remains active for 12 seconds. Its effectiveness depends on placement, making it harder to use against opponents who keep moving.
Rocket Shoes and Rufus’s Leash are the best options for most Chasers because they help you reach targets more efficiently. Big Dagger and Bowling Ball can also be effective, but their success depends more on timing and accuracy.
Huss Valley Items Tier List
Items provide additional ways to disrupt opponents or improve your chances of surviving a chase. Each Item pack comes with three charges, and Items can be used by the permitted roles during an active round.
There are currently three Items to consider, including one exclusive to Runners.
S Tier: Banana Peel
- Banana Peel: Throws a peel that makes opponents slip and fall. It is especially useful during one-on-one encounters, where a well-placed throw can interrupt a Chaser or Runner at a critical moment.
A Tier: Adrenaline
- Adrenaline: Increases running speed by 60% and provides additional speed when turning. Chasers can use it to cover ground quickly and catch up with escaping Runners.
B Tier: Rescue Kit
- Rescue Kit: An Item exclusive to Runners that revives captured teammates. It can be valuable when a teammate needs help, but using it is risky if Chasers are still nearby. Look for an opportunity when your opponents are distracted.
Banana Peel is the most versatile choice because it can disrupt opponents directly. Adrenaline is a strong alternative for Chasers who need extra speed, while Rescue Kit is more dependent on teamwork and the situation.
Huss Valley Knives Tier List
Knives are useful for more than attacking opponents. Chasers can use them to knock down Runners, while Runners can benefit from their stat bonuses. Depending on the knife, these bonuses may improve movement speed, reduce Item and Ability cooldowns, or shorten dodge cooldowns.
S-Tier Knives
Knives: #1 Fan, Hotdog, Viper’s Fang, Bloodthorn, Voidspine, Solar Phoenix, Void Sovereign, Glacial Crown, Celestial Dragon.
These knives provide the strongest listed gameplay bonuses:
- +0.85 Movement Speed.
- -0.85 seconds to Item and Ability cooldowns.
- -0.35 seconds to dodge cooldown.
The combination of faster movement and shorter cooldowns makes these knives the best choices for players who want to improve their performance. They help both Runners and Chasers by allowing them to move more efficiently and use their tools more often.
A-Tier Knives
Knives: Football, Futbol, Selfie Stick, Molten Fang, Spectral Reaper, Storm Talon, Moonfang.
These knives provide smaller but still useful bonuses:
- +0.35 Movement Speed.
- -0.35 seconds to Item and Ability cooldowns.
- -0.1 seconds to dodge cooldown.
Although their bonuses are weaker than those of S-tier knives, they remain good options if you do not have access to the strongest choices. Their stat improvements can still help you move and react more effectively during a match.
B-Tier Knives
Knives: Cluck Basher, Banana Blade, Pizza Punisher, Clone Dagger, Ghost Scythe.
These knives provide additional rewards or special effects, including Coins, Gems, XP, and catch-related benefits. Their value depends on the specific reward or effect they offer.
They are worth considering if you want extra progression benefits, but they do not provide the same overall stat bonuses as the S-tier and A-tier knives listed above.
C-Tier Knives
Knives: Developer’s Pencil, Secret Pencil, The Spoon, Owner’s Trident, Ashsteel, Iron Fang, Forest Edge, Ice Cream Scythe, Amber Sting, Rose Quartz, Tidal Shard, Venom Thorn, Copper Bite, Party Popper, The Number One, Valley Original.
These knives are cosmetic options that do not provide direct gameplay benefits. You can equip them based on your preferred appearance, but they will not improve your movement speed or reduce your cooldowns.
If your goal is to gain a gameplay advantage, prioritize knives from the higher tiers instead.
Best Huss Valley Loadout
Your ideal loadout depends on which role you play. Runners should focus on escaping attacks, while Chasers should prioritize movement and tools that make catching opponents easier.
Recommended Runner choices:
- Ability: Cloak or One Hit Shield.
- Item: Banana Peel.
- Knife: Any available S-tier knife.
Recommended Chaser choices:
- Ability: Rocket Shoes or Rufus’s Leash.
- Item: Adrenaline or Banana Peel.
- Knife: Any available S-tier knife.
These are general recommendations based on the listed effects. You may need to adjust your choices depending on the map, your opponents, and whether you prefer a defensive or aggressive playstyle.
The best Huss Valley options are those that directly support your role. Runners should prioritize Cloak and One Hit Shield to escape dangerous situations, while Chasers can benefit most from Rocket Shoes and Rufus’s Leash.
For Items, Banana Peel offers a useful way to disrupt opponents, while Adrenaline provides a strong speed boost. When choosing a knife, prioritize S-tier options for their movement speed and cooldown bonuses. Lower-tier knives can still be useful for rewards or cosmetics, but they offer less direct help during a match.
