The Alchemist in Pixel Lineage allows you to craft different potions that can help you survive battles and deal more damage. These brews can restore Energy, remove negative status effects, reduce incoming damage, or increase your attack power for a limited number of turns.

However, not every potion can be crafted. HP Potions are only available to purchase from the Alchemist at the castle or from the Shop during a run. Each HP Potion costs 25 Gold.

In this guide, you can find all Pixel Lineage Alchemist recipes, the ingredients required for each potion, and how to unlock the Alchemist building.

How to Unlock the Alchemist in Pixel Lineage

The Alchemist building is located on the castle grounds, but you must repair it before you can use its services. Repairing the building costs 100 Gold in total.

Once the building is available, you can visit the Alchemist to craft potions using materials collected during your runs. You can use these potions to improve your chances of surviving difficult battles or sell unwanted potions for extra Gold.

The Alchemist also sells HP Potions for 25 Gold each. If you have spare HP Potions that you no longer need, you can sell each one for 12 Gold. Since buying and selling prices are different, avoid purchasing extra potions just to sell them back.

All Pixel Lineage Alchemist Recipes

There are 12 utility potion recipes available in the Alchemist. Each one requires specific ingredients and provides a different effect. Some are useful for restoring Energy or removing debuffs, while others help you deal more damage or reduce damage received during combat.

Here is the complete list of recipes and their effects.

Energy Potions

Wisp Elixir

Ingredients:

  • 1x Wisp Dust
  • 2x Slime Gel

Effect: Replenishes 2 Energy.

Wisp Elixir is useful when you need to restore some Energy during your run. Make sure you have enough Wisp Dust and Slime Gel before visiting the Alchemist.

Starfall Nectar

Ingredients:

  • 1x Living Cinder
  • 2x Wisp Dust

Effect: Replenishes 3 Energy.

Starfall Nectar restores more Energy than Wisp Elixir. It can be a useful choice when you need a larger Energy boost and have the required ingredients available.

Debuff Removal Potions

Slime Tonic

Ingredients:

  • 2x Slime Gel

Effect: Removes the Poison debuff.

Slime Tonic is a simple recipe because it only requires Slime Gel. Keep some available if Poison is causing problems during your runs.

Moss Salve

Ingredients:

  • 1x Moss Wolf Pelt
  • 1x Slime Gel

Effect: Removes the Chill and Burning debuffs.

Moss Salve can remove two negative status effects with a single potion. It is useful when you need to deal with Chill or Burning during a difficult encounter.

Moonlight Tonic

Ingredients:

  • 1x Moss Wolf Pelt
  • 2x Wisp Dust

Effect: Removes the Chill, Curse, and Weak debuffs.

Moonlight Tonic is a useful option when dealing with several different debuffs. Its ability to remove Chill, Curse, and Weak makes it worth considering before battles where these effects are a concern.

Phoenix Tears

Ingredients:

  • 1x Living Cinder
  • 1x Runed Stone Shard
  • 1x Wisp Dust

Effect: Removes the Chill, Burn, Blind, and Poison debuffs.

Phoenix Tears can clear four different negative status effects. It is one of the more flexible choices when you need protection against multiple debuffs during a run.

Hunter’s Broth

Ingredients:

  • 1x Living Cinder
  • 2x Moss Wolf Pelt

Effects:

  • Removes the Blind debuff.
  • Increases your damage by 8% for the next 2 turns.

Hunter’s Broth offers both a debuff removal effect and a temporary damage boost. This makes it useful when you want to remove Blind while preparing to deal more damage.

Damage Reduction Potions

Stoneskin Brew

Ingredients:

  • 1x Runed Stone Shard
  • 1x Salvaged Metal
  • 1x Slime Gel

Effect: Reduces the Direct Damage you take by 12% for the next 3 turns.

Stoneskin Brew is a defensive potion that helps reduce incoming Direct Damage. Its three-turn duration gives you some time to handle attacks without taking the full amount of damage.

Pebble Punch

Ingredients:

  • 1x Slime Gel
  • 2x Runed Stone Shards

Effect: Reduces the Direct Damage you take by 18% for the next 2 turns.

Pebble Punch provides a higher damage reduction percentage than Stoneskin Brew, but its effect lasts for fewer turns. It can be useful when you need stronger short-term protection.

Wanderer’s Feast

Ingredients:

  • 1x Living Cinder
  • 1x Moss Wolf Pelt
  • 1x Wisp Dust

Effect: Reduces the Direct Damage you take by 8% for the next 4 turns.

Wanderer’s Feast has the lowest damage reduction percentage among these three potions, but its effect lasts the longest. Consider it when you want defensive support over several turns.

Damage Boost Potions

Ember Draught

Ingredients:

  • 1x Living Cinder
  • 1x Slime Gel

Effect: Increases your damage by 12% for the next 3 turns.

Ember Draught is a useful offensive potion if you want a balance between a solid damage increase and a three-turn duration.

Goblin Grog

Ingredients:

  • 1x Slime Gel
  • 2x Salvaged Metal

Effect: Increases your damage by 8% for the next 4 turns.

Goblin Grog provides a smaller damage increase than Ember Draught, but the effect lasts one additional turn. It can be a good option when you prefer a longer damage boost.

Dragon’s Breath

Ingredients:

  • 1x Runed Stone Shard
  • 2x Living Cinder

Effect: Increases your damage by 18% for the next 2 turns.

Dragon’s Breath offers the highest damage increase among the listed damage-boosting potions. Its short duration makes it worth considering when you want to deal as much damage as possible over the next two turns.

All Ingredients in Pixel Lineage

There are six main ingredients used in the Alchemist’s recipes:

  • Slime Gel
  • Moss Wolf Pelt
  • Salvaged Metal
  • Living Cinder
  • Runed Stone Shard
  • Wisp Dust

You can collect these materials by progressing through the different Acts in Pixel Lineage. Ingredients may drop during battles, depending on the enemies you encounter. For example, Slime Gel can drop from Slime enemies, so you will need to fight them if you want to collect more of this material.

You may also find opportunities to obtain additional resources between battles. The rewards can depend on the option you choose, including options such as Mystery. Check the available choices during your runs if you need specific ingredients for a recipe.

Since several potions share the same materials, it is a good idea to collect ingredients regularly instead of gathering them only when you need a particular potion.

Best Alchemist Potions to Craft

The best potion depends on what you need during your run. If you are running low on Energy, Wisp Elixir and Starfall Nectar are the main options. Starfall Nectar restores more Energy, while Wisp Elixir uses a different combination of ingredients.

If debuffs are making battles difficult, choose a potion based on the status effect you need to remove. Slime Tonic handles Poison, Moonlight Tonic removes Chill, Curse, and Weak, while Phoenix Tears can clear Chill, Burn, Blind, and Poison.

For defensive situations, Stoneskin Brew, Pebble Punch, and Wanderer’s Feast all reduce Direct Damage for a limited number of turns. If you want to increase your damage output, Dragon’s Breath offers an 18% boost for two turns, while Ember Draught provides a 12% boost for three turns.

You should also consider which ingredients you have in stock. Crafting the most powerful potion is not always the best choice if it uses materials you need for other recipes.

The Alchemist is an important building in Pixel Lineage because it gives you access to potions that can support different playstyles. You can restore Energy, remove debuffs, reduce incoming Direct Damage, or increase your damage output by choosing the right recipe for your situation.

To use the Alchemist, repair the building for 100 Gold and collect the six main ingredients through battles and other opportunities during your runs. Remember that HP Potions cannot be crafted and must instead be purchased for 25 Gold each.

Keep collecting materials and choose your potions based on the challenges ahead. With the right supplies, you can make your runs more manageable and get better use out of your Gold and ingredients.
