In Chapter 2 of Tales of the Dark King in Dress to Impress (DTI), players must solve several puzzles inside a Mansion to escape before the timer reaches 7:00 AM. Your main objective is to find three Medallions: Calchas, Artemis, and Athena. Each Medallion unlocks another part of the Mansion and brings you closer to the exit.
To escape successfully, you must solve the pedestal puzzle, discover hidden rooms, find clues, and unlock the Pynx box. Once you have collected all three Medallions, place them at the bottom of the Statue in the Courtyard to open the underground passage.
How to Get the Calchas Medallion in DTI Tales of the Dark King
The Calchas Medallion is the first item you need to collect. To obtain it, you must arrange six items on their respective pedestals in the correct order. The solution is hidden throughout the Courtyard in the form of Posters, so explore the area carefully and check each location for clues before placing the items.
Here are the five Poster locations you need to check:
- At the far-left end of the Courtyard.
- At the far-right end of the Courtyard.
- Enter the room on the right side of the Courtyard and look toward the right.
- In the same room as the third Poster, continue to the end and check the left wall.
- Enter the room on the left side of the Courtyard, where you can also find the Dial puzzle.
Each Poster reveals an item and its correct placement number. Write down the information from all five Posters and use it to determine the correct order for the six pedestal items. Once you have arranged everything correctly, you will receive the Calchas Medallion.
Take the Medallion and place it on the Statue in the Courtyard. This unlocks the Agamemnon Bedroom, which you can enter from the Courtyard. You will need to explore this bedroom to find the clues required for the next two Medallions.
How to Get the Artemis Medallion in DTI Tales of the Dark King
After unlocking the Agamemnon Bedroom, look inside to find a box containing the Pynx. You will also discover a clue on the bed that displays a specific pattern. The pattern can differ between players, so take a screenshot or write it down because you will need to reproduce it in another room.
Step 1: Open the Secret Room
Return to the room containing the fourth Poster, which is the room on the right side of the Courtyard. Find the floor tiles and step on them according to the pattern shown on the bedroom clue. Enter the correct sequence to open a hidden room.
Go inside the secret room and head downstairs to find the first numerical clue for the Artemis Medallion puzzle. Record the number, as you will need it later. Continue exploring until you reach a pedestal with a key on top. Pick up the key to unlock another room in the Courtyard.
Step 2: Find the Second Number Clue
Return to the Courtyard and locate the first door on the left side, starting from the pedestal puzzle area. Use the key you collected to unlock the door and enter the room.
Explore the room until you reach the end, where you will find another numerical clue on the ground near the Lion Statues. Write down this number as well. You should now have two clues that will help you solve the circular Dial puzzle.
Step 3: Solve the Dial Puzzle
Head back to the room on the left side of the Courtyard, where you found the fifth Poster. At the center of the room, you will find a circular Dial puzzle with multiple layers.
Use the two numbers you collected to adjust the first and second layers. Keep turning the corresponding knobs until each layer turns gold or yellow, indicating that it is correct. For the third layer, you must test different positions in the same way you solved the pedestal puzzle.
Continue adjusting the final layer until you find the correct number and the entire layer turns gold or yellow. Once all three layers are correct, a small placeholder will appear with the Artemis Medallion.
Pick up the Artemis Medallion and place it on the Statue in the Courtyard. This unlocks the Pynx box in the Agamemnon Bedroom, allowing you to retrieve the item needed for the final Medallion.
How to Get the Athena Medallion in Dress to Impress Tales of the Dark King
The Athena Medallion is the final piece required to open the underground escape route. After placing the Artemis Medallion on the Statue, return to the Agamemnon Bedroom and open the previously locked box to collect the Pynx. Make sure you have the item before returning to the room where you found the second numerical clue.
Step 1: Place the Pynx in the Correct Room
Carry the Pynx to the room containing the Lion Statues, where you discovered the second number clue for the Artemis Medallion. This is the room you unlocked using the key found in the secret passage.
Find the designated spot for the Pynx and place it inside. A cutscene will play once you complete this action, signaling that you have progressed to the final stage of the Mansion puzzle.
Step 2: Collect the Athena Medallion
After the cutscene ends, look near the central pedestal in the same room. You will find the Athena Medallion waiting to be collected. Pick it up and return to the Courtyard, where the Statue is located.
Place the Athena Medallion at the bottom of the Statue alongside the other two Medallions. With Calchas, Artemis, and Athena all in place, the puzzle will be completed, and an underground passage will open.
How to Escape the Mansion in DTI Tales of the Dark King Chapter 2
Once you have collected all three Medallions, your final objective is to activate the Statue in the Courtyard. Make sure you have placed the Calchas Medallion, Artemis Medallion, and Athena Medallion in their required positions. Completing this step opens the underground passage that leads out of the Mansion.
Enter the newly opened passage and follow the route to escape. Since you must finish everything before the timer reaches 7:00 AM, avoid spending too much time searching the same rooms. Take screenshots of the bedroom pattern and numerical clues to make the puzzles easier to complete.
Escaping the Mansion in DTI Tales of the Dark King Chapter 2 requires you to collect three Medallions and solve several interconnected puzzles. Start with the Calchas Medallion by arranging the pedestal items using the five Posters scattered around the Courtyard. Next, unlock the Agamemnon Bedroom and solve the tile and Dial puzzles to obtain the Artemis Medallion.
Finally, collect the Pynx from the bedroom box and place it in the room near the Lion Statues to obtain the Athena Medallion. Place all three Medallions at the bottom of the Statue in the Courtyard to unlock the underground passage and complete your escape before 7:00 AM.
