The Xorcist Rod is one of the special fishing rods you can unlock in Fisch, but obtaining it requires quite a bit of work. Unlike regular rods that you can purchase or find through exploration, this rod is locked behind four different quests given by Ken Carson at the Underground Music Venue.

Each quest requires you to catch specific fish with certain mutations, collect items, or complete special objectives. You will also need access to several locations, including Crystal Cove and Ancient Isle, before you can finish everything.

Here is a complete guide on how to find Ken Carson, finish all four Xorcist Rod quests, and learn about the rod’s stats and special abilities.

Where Is the Ken Carson NPC in Fisch?

Ken Carson can be found standing on top of the stage inside the Underground Music Venue. You need to visit this location to start the Xorcist Rod questline and complete all four objectives.

However, accessing the Underground Music Venue requires you to unlock Crystal Cove first. You can reach this location by diving into a Mysterious Whirlpool in the main ocean, which takes you to Vertigo. From there, obtain a Depths Key to unlock the entrance to The Depths.

Once you have access to the required area, use your glider to reach Crystal Cove at the following coordinates:

  • X: 1100

  • Y: -700

  • Z: 1400

After arriving at Crystal Cove, you need a Chaotic Enchanted Relic. Place it on the white crystal inside the area to unlock a Trapdoor at the back of the same room. Enter the Trapdoor to reach the Underground Music Venue.

Once inside, head toward the main stage and look for Ken Carson. Interact with him to begin working on the Xorcist Rod quests.

All Xorcist Rod Quests and How to Finish Them

There are four separate quests you must complete to obtain the Xorcist Rod. Each one has a different name and requires you to collect specific fish, mutations, or items before returning them to Ken Carson.

Some objectives can take longer than others because certain fish only appear under specific weather, season, and time conditions. Make sure you prepare the correct bait and fishing rods before starting each task.

Quest 1 – Underground Static

The first quest is called Underground Static and requires you to collect three Electric Minnows and two Scrap Metal for Ken Carson. Both objectives are relatively straightforward, although getting the required Electric Mutation may take some preparation.

Obtain 3 Electric Minnows

You need to catch three Minnows with the Electric Mutation and return them to Ken Carson. One way to complete this objective is by using Bagel Bait during Clear weather in the Autumn season to target the required fish.

For the Electric Mutation, you can use a Tempest Rod or apply the Storming Enchantment to your preferred fishing rod. These options can help you obtain the required mutation while fishing.

Obtain 2 Scrap Metal

Scrap Metal is a common junk item that you can find by fishing in different bodies of water. It has a higher chance of appearing during the daytime, so try to complete this objective while the sun is up.

To make the process faster, consider using a Magnet Rod or equipping Magnet or Garbage Bait. These options can help you collect the two required Scrap Metal without spending too much time fishing.

Quest 2 – Teen X

The second quest is called Teen X. This time, Ken Carson wants you to collect one Shiny Musical Crab and three DJ Spinopus.

Both creatures can be caught in Crystal Cove, but they have different fishing requirements. Pay attention to their preferred weather, time, season, and bait to avoid wasting your attempts.

Obtain 1 Shiny Musical Crab

Musical Crab is a catchable creature found inside Crystal Cove. To increase your chances of finding one, fish under the following conditions:

  • Location: Crystal Cove

  • Weather: Rain

  • Time: Night

  • Season: Summer

  • Bait: None

However, catching a regular Musical Crab is not enough because Ken requires one with the Shiny attribute. You can use a Shiny Surge Totem to improve your chances of obtaining a Shiny fish.

Alternatively, visit the Appraiser and try to get the Shiny attribute on your Musical Crab. Once you have the required fish, return it to Ken Carson to complete this objective.

Catch and Return 3 DJ Spinopus

For the next objective, you need to catch three DJ Spinopus inside Crystal Cove. Unlike Musical Crab, this creature has different fishing preferences, so make sure you change your setup before attempting to catch it.

Use the following conditions:

  • Location: Crystal Cove

  • Weather: Clear

  • Time: Night

  • Season: Summer or Spring

  • Bait: Snare

You need three DJ Spinopus in total. Once you have collected all of them, bring the fish back to Ken Carson to finish the Teen X quest.

Quest 3 – A Great Chaos

The third quest is called A Great Chaos. Compared to the previous objectives, this one is more challenging because it requires you to catch an Ancient Megalodon and locate a missing item backstage.

You will need to visit Ancient Isle for the fishing objective, while the second task can be completed directly inside the Underground Music Venue.

Catch and Return 1 Ancient Megalodon

Ancient Megalodon is a special fish that appears during a Megalodon Hunt at Ancient Isle. Since this is a rare encounter, you may need to wait for the event to appear before attempting to catch one.

To improve your chances, use Shark’s Head as bait when fishing for the Ancient Megalodon. Once you successfully catch it, return to the Underground Music Venue and hand it over to Ken Carson.

Make sure you complete this objective before moving on to the final quest.

Find Ken’s Lost Stage Monitor Backstage

The second objective requires you to find Ken Carson’s missing Stage Monitor. Fortunately, you do not need to catch anything for this task.

Head to the backstage area behind the main stage inside the Underground Music Venue. Look toward the drum kit, which is located behind the stage.

You should find the Lost Stage Monitor next to the drum kit, positioned to the right of Ken Carson’s location. Interact with the item to collect it and complete the objective.

Quest 4 – Xperiment

Xperiment is the final quest required to unlock the Xorcist Rod. Unlike the previous missions, this objective focuses on catching an Apex fish using a specific fishing rod.

Catch 1 Apex Fish with Dusk Wire

You need to catch one Apex fish using the Dusk Wire Rod. This means you cannot use another fishing rod for the objective, even if it has better stats or enchantments.

Apex Fish have specific spawn conditions, so check their upcoming spawn schedules before preparing your fishing trip. Once an Apex fish becomes available, equip the Dusk Wire Rod and attempt to catch it.

You can also check an Apex Fish guide to learn more about their spawn locations and requirements. After successfully catching one with Dusk Wire, return to Ken Carson and submit the fish to finish the final quest.

Once all four quests are completed, you will be able to claim the Xorcist Rod.

Xorcist Rod Stats and Showcase

The Xorcist Rod has several interesting stats that make it a useful option for players who want a combination of high Luck and a special fishing ability. Its most notable feature is the Xorcist Mutation, which increases the selling value of caught fish.

Here are the complete Xorcist Rod stats in Fisch:

  • Lure Speed: 75%

  • Luck: 200%

  • Control: 0.08

  • Resilience: 25%

  • Maximum KG: Infinite

  • Disturbance: +3

Its 200% Luck makes it particularly interesting for players who want to improve their chances of catching valuable fish. The infinite maximum KG is another major advantage because it removes the usual weight restriction when catching larger fish.

Xorcist Rod Passive Ability

The Xorcist Rod comes with a special passive ability called the Xorcist Mutation. This mutation increases the selling value of any fish you catch by 7x, making it a valuable option for farming money.

However, the rod also has another unique mechanic involving an additional progress bar. This bar appears above your normal fishing progress bar and gradually fills as you continue catching fish.

Once the additional bar reaches 25%, you can press RMB to activate the Chomp action. This ability quickly fills your main fishing progress bar up to 50% or more, helping you catch fish much faster.

The Chomp mechanic can be especially useful when dealing with difficult fish that normally require more time and precise movement. Combined with its Xorcist Mutation, the rod offers both additional fishing utility and a way to earn more money from your catches.

Getting the Xorcist Rod in Fisch requires completing four quests from Ken Carson inside the Underground Music Venue. You will need to collect Electric Minnows, Scrap Metal, Musical Crab, DJ Spinopus, and an Ancient Megalodon before finishing the final Apex Fish objective with Dusk Wire.

Although the questline takes some preparation, the reward is worth considering. With 200% Luck, infinite maximum KG, and a special mutation that multiplies fish value by 7x, the Xorcist Rod offers useful benefits for players looking to improve their fishing progress and earn more money.
