Monster Clash Anime Expeditions Guide!
Monster Clash is the main event added in Anime Expeditions Update 3.5. The event gives players a new stage to farm, special enemies to fight, event rewards, and a chance to enter the Monster Rift. The mode looks simple at first, but the monsters can become much stronger if you let enemies from both sides meet. Knowing where to place your units and which enemies to watch for can make the event much easier.
How Monster Clash Works
Monster Clash uses a map with two enemy paths. Monsters come from opposite sides and move toward the center of the map. The important part is the crossing in the middle. When enemies from both sides meet, they can merge into stronger monsters.
These merged enemies have more HP and can be harder to defeat. Because of this, your main goal should be stopping enemies before they reach the crossing. The event can also be played with up to four players, making it easier to handle both paths.
Best Unit Placement
The middle of the map is usually the best place for your strongest units. Units placed around the center can attack enemies from both paths. This gives them more time to deal damage before the monsters reach the crossing.
Avoid putting all of your strongest units on one side. If the other path is ignored, enemies can reach the middle and merge before your team has enough time to defeat them. A simple setup is:
- Place your main damage units near the center.
- Use farms to generate enough money.
- Upgrade your strongest units first.
- Keep an eye on both paths.
- Stop enemies before they reach the crossing.
- Save enough damage for the stronger later waves.
Monster Clash Special Enemies
Monster Clash has several enemies with special mechanics. Some monsters can burrow and appear at another spawn point. This can give them a shorter path toward the middle, so you need to watch their movement.
Jealousy is another enemy to look out for. It can copy one of your units, making it harder to notice. If you fail to find it quickly, it can cause problems for your defense. There are also armored monsters and stronger commander-type enemies. These enemies have more HP and can take much longer to defeat.
The Enraged Monster Mechanic
Another important mechanic happens when enemies reach the center. If one monster reaches the middle and another enemy type does not appear within a short period, the monster can become enraged.
An enraged monster can roar and stun your units for around two seconds. This can be dangerous during later waves because losing control of your units for even a few seconds can allow other monsters to move closer to the crossing. Keeping strong damage units near the center can help prevent this from happening.
How Many Waves Are There?
Monster Clash has 15 waves. The early waves are fairly easy if you already have strong units. However, the enemies become stronger as you progress, so your upgrades need to keep up.
The later waves are where the special monsters and stronger enemies can become a problem. Make sure you have enough farming income before the final waves. Running out of money can leave your damage units under-upgraded when the stronger monsters arrive.
How to Get the Monster Rift
The Monster Rift is one of the main reasons to farm Monster Clash. After completing the stage, there is a chance for a helicopter to appear. The helicopter does not appear every time, so getting into the Rift depends partly on luck.
If the helicopter appears, do not immediately leave the stage. Wait for the helicopter to land. The host can then interact with it to take the team into the Rift. The stage does not automatically restart while you are waiting, so you can stay and wait for the helicopter. Defeating merged monsters can also improve your chance of getting the Rift.
Monster Clash Rewards
Monster Clash gives event rewards for completing the stage.
You can earn event currency that can be used in the event shop. The event also has Alchemist Chests and other rewards that can help with the new units.
There are also event quests and Alchemist-related tasks to complete.
If you are trying to get everything from Update 3.5, it is worth completing these quests while farming the event.
Tips for Farming Monster Clash
If your goal is to farm the event quickly, you do not need a complicated strategy. Start by placing your farms and building your main damage setup around the center. Once your team is strong enough, you can let the stage run with less manual control.
Keep checking the two paths, especially during later waves. Special enemies can use different routes and reach the middle faster than expected. If you get the helicopter after finishing the stage, stay in the game and wait for it to land. For easier farming, remember these tips:
- Focus your strongest units around the middle.
- Use farms to build your economy.
- Do not ignore either enemy path.
- Watch for enemies that change their route.
- Find Jealousy before it causes problems.
- Defeat monsters before they can merge.
- Keep playing if the helicopter appears.
- Farm the event currency and Alchemist rewards.
Is Monster Clash Worth Farming?
Monster Clash is a fairly relaxed event once you have the right setup. The main challenge comes from stopping enemies before they merge and dealing with the special monsters. The event is also useful if you want Subject 8, Alchemy-related rewards, or a chance to enter the Monster Rift.
For players with a strong team, Monster Clash can become a good AFK farming stage after the first few waves. Just make sure your units are strong enough to handle the later enemies. If you are working toward the Update 3.5 rewards, keep farming Monster Clash while the event is available.
