Anime Zero Sung Jinwoo Guide – How to Get and Evolve Him
Anime Zero has added Sung Jinwoo as one of the biggest new characters in the latest update. Along with the Solo Leveling character, the update introduces a new raid, several evolution stages, accessory changes, and a new Arcane class.
Sung Jinwoo is especially useful because his upgrades give him new abilities, including Igris as a summon and a longsword that improves his attack range. Here is everything you need to know about getting Sung Jinwoo and evolving him in Anime Zero.
How to Get Sung Jinwoo in Anime Zero
Sung Jinwoo can be obtained through the new raid added with the update. The raid is based around Igris and is currently the main way to obtain the new class. The base chance of getting Sung Jinwoo from the raid is 3%. However, the game also includes a pity system, meaning you are guaranteed to get the class after reaching 35 attempts without obtaining him earlier.
There are two versions of the raid available:
- Normal Raid
- Red Gate
The Red Gate is the harder version of the dungeon, so players should make sure their team is strong enough before attempting it repeatedly.
Anime Zero Igris Raid Guide

The new raid contains three main waves, with Igris appearing as the final boss. The fight is fairly straightforward once you understand how his phases work. Igris does not simply stay vulnerable throughout the entire battle. During certain parts of the fight, you will need to deal with additional enemies before you can continue damaging the main boss.
The basic fight works like this:
- Start by attacking Igris and lowering his HP.
- Igris will eventually become immune.
- Several mini bosses will spawn.
- Defeat the mini bosses to remove his immunity.
- Continue attacking Igris afterward.
- During another phase, Igris can create a clone.
- More mini bosses will appear during this phase.
- You do not need to defeat the Igris clone.
- Focus on the mini bosses first so the main fight can continue.
The raid becomes much easier once you learn the boss attack patterns. Dodging attacks and making good use of invincibility frames can help you survive the harder sections without taking unnecessary damage.
Sung Jinwoo Evolution Guide
Getting Sung Jinwoo is only the beginning because the character has three different evolution stages. Each evolution gives him an important upgrade, making him considerably stronger than his starting version. The first evolution unlocks his Ultimate ability. This gives Sung Jinwoo access to a major new attack and makes him much more useful for clearing enemies.
The second evolution adds Igris as a summon. Igris will fight alongside Sung Jinwoo, giving the character additional damage and making the unit much stronger during battles. The final evolution gives Sung Jinwoo his Longsword. This weapon increases the range of his attacks, allowing him to hit enemies from farther away.
The three main evolutions are:
- First Evolution: Unlocks the Ultimate.
- Second Evolution: Summons Igris.
- Third Evolution: Unlocks the Longsword and increases attack range.
Upgrade Igris to Make Sung Jinwoo Stronger
Sung Jinwoo also has an additional upgrade system that focuses on Igris. After unlocking the summon, you can improve Igris’ stats to increase his overall performance.
This makes the evolution system more than just a way to unlock new abilities. Players can continue improving the character by investing in Igris and making the summon stronger.
If you plan to use Sung Jinwoo as one of your main units, upgrading Igris should be part of your progression.
Anime Zero Accessory Changes
The update also changes how accessories work in Anime Zero. Players can now equip multiple accessories at the same time instead of being restricted to a single accessory.
This means you can combine several accessories to gain more buffs and improve your character’s overall stats.
There is also a vanity option for accessories. This is useful if you want the bonuses from an accessory but do not like how it looks. You can use the vanity feature to change its appearance without giving up the benefits.
With the new system, it is worth crafting the strongest accessories you can and combining them to get the best possible bonuses.
New Mochi Commander Class
Sung Jinwoo is not the only new addition in this update. Anime Zero has also added Mochi Commander, which is based on Katakuri from One Piece.
Mochi Commander belongs to the Arcane class and provides another option for players looking to expand their collection. However, the main attraction of the update is still Sung Jinwoo and his new raid.
Sung Jinwoo Is Extremely Strong
Once fully upgraded, Sung Jinwoo can become one of the most powerful options available in Anime Zero. His kit gives him multiple tools instead of relying on only one type of attack. He can use his Ultimate, summon Igris to fight beside him, and eventually gain the Longsword for increased attack range. The extra Igris upgrades also give players another way to improve his damage.
One of the notable parts of his kit is that he can have two Ultimate abilities after progressing through his upgrades. This gives him even more damage potential and makes the fully evolved version particularly useful. Because Sung Jinwoo can also perform well in the raid used to obtain him, getting him early can make future farming easier.
Tips for Farming Sung Jinwoo
The biggest challenge is the 3% drop rate. With the pity system set at 35 attempts, unlucky players may need to complete the full number of runs before receiving the class.
A few things can make the process easier:
- Learn Igris’ attack patterns before trying to farm the raid repeatedly.
- Use dodges and invincibility frames to avoid major attacks.
- Focus on the mini bosses when Igris becomes immune.
- Do not waste time trying to defeat the Igris clone.
- Build a team that can clear the raid consistently.
- Use the Red Gate only if your team can handle its increased difficulty.
- Upgrade Sung Jinwoo after obtaining him instead of leaving him at base form.
- Invest in Igris upgrades to improve his combat performance.
The raid is much less frustrating once you understand its mechanics. Rather than trying to overpower every phase, focus on surviving the boss attacks and completing each required objective.
Anime Zero Sung Jinwoo Update
The Sung Jinwoo update adds a major progression path to Anime Zero, especially for players who enjoy collecting and evolving powerful classes. His 3% raid chance makes the initial unlock a grind, but the 35-run pity gives players a guaranteed target if they are unlucky.
After obtaining him, the three evolution stages make a major difference. Unlocking the Ultimate, adding Igris as a summon, and obtaining the Longsword gradually turn Sung Jinwoo into a much stronger character.
The accessory changes and Mochi Commander also give players more content to work through, but Sung Jinwoo is clearly the main attraction of this update. If you are planning to farm him, learning the Igris raid mechanics first will make the grind much easier.
