The latest Xiaomi move will attract attention. The Chinese company is considering to eliminate cell phone charger in the package and sold separately.

Reportedly, as quoted from GSM Arena, on Friday, June 26, this step is intended as part of the action concerned the environment aspect by reducing electronic waste, charger.

Xiaomi argued, most users are still able to use a charger from their old phone. If it turns out the old charger really can not be used in new mobile phones, either because it is damaged or different port types, then they can buy a charger separately.

In this way, only the users who really need a charger that will buy it. The Mi charger sold separately, the priced is cheap enough, $3.20.

Xiaomi CEO, Lei Jun’s ask the opinion of the MiFans to trigger this idea in his social media, Weibo. Lei Jun asking if this idea is good or not, if implemented.

But it was mostly MiFans think Xiaomi wants to cut costs by eliminating the cell phone charger in the package. This allegation might be true but did not rule anyway if Xiaomi is thinking about environmentally friendly aspects from their product.
