Apple Watch 2: More Battery, Brighter Screen and Better Outdoor Performance
Production chains begin to leak the first details on Apple Watch 2. A few days ago that many of us have already Apple Watch and talking about their next generation. It is not far from the first news we have about the Apple Watch 2, because a few weeks ago we also know some of the innovations that incorporate as FaceTime camera front, independent WiFi chip and maybe some new material halfway between the steel and 18K gold.
Now, sources of supply chain reported a Korean media that Apple would have selected Samsung and LG as suppliers of flexible OLED displays that incorporate the Apple Watch 2. These screens are the same size, shape and resolution than current but they will incorporate some significant improvements in brightness and outdoor performance.
Apparently, Apple would have prioritized the screen visibility outdoors and it is very sunny over other aspects such as resolution. The performance of Apple Watch screen outdoors is one of the areas for improvement of the current generation, especially in models with sapphire crystal screens where the level of reflectance is greater than the Apple Watch Sport.
On the other hand, the company would also be focusing on the miniaturization of the different components of the clock with the aim to accommodate a bigger battery in it. This contradicts information published a few weeks ago by 9to5Mac in which claimed that Apple engineers would focus on other aspects that were not enough, considering the battery in most cases.
Apple will reduce the size of the components of the Watch to accommodate a larger capacity battery
The battery found in the Apple Watch has a capacity of 205 mAh and often endure a whole day without major problems, although this is still insufficient for many users looking for a device that does not have to carry your phone near the end of the day .
As we read in 9to5Mac, the launch of the next generation of Apple Watch is scheduled for 2016, probably in spring. We do not expect great aesthetic changes of this second generation apple SmartWatch beyond some new material, color and new styles of belts.
A second and more questionable report out of Taiwan, allegedly posted to microblogging site Weibo by a Foxconn employee before being pulled and recirculated by PhoneArena, claims to offer a series of additional details regarding the upcoming iPhone 6S. As detailed below, a new pink color, higher-resolution cameras with Force Touch simultaneous video/photo modes, and a faster Touch ID fingerprint scanner are all said to be on tap. What do you expect from Apple Watch 2?
