A group of developers in London created the first app of Apple Watch focused on swimming. Over recent months, we have discovered that Apple Watch is much more resistant to water than Apple promised, not surprisingly, many of you have told us they often use the Watch in the shower, on the beach or in the pool, and it still works perfectly well. Perhaps for all of you has come an application that will be of interest because it is the first app of Apple Watch focused on swimming.

Apple Watch is a fantastic device for physical activity, but unfortunately the app does not support Training activities carried out in the water such as swimming. A group of London developers have to weigh it and have decided to create the first application of Apple Watch to monitor swimming.

The team had already created a similar app for the Pebble, but when they learned of the existence of Apple Watch set out to create a new version. The application basically measures lap, time and your heart rate in water. Once development is complete, the team tested both versions of the Apple Watch and the Pebble in London Aquatic Centre pool for 4 laps long and 200 meters of track.

Apple Watch perfectly monitored throughout the activity, showing a pulse readings of 88 beats per minute to 138 beats start and immediately afterwards. Of course, even if the application has proved to work perfectly, the developers have not yet been able to publish the application in the App Store, since Apple review team automatically eliminate the breach of the most basic guidelines, which is not encouraging use the device so that it can be damaged.

The application will have trouble reaching the App Store due to Apple’s guidelines

And although Apple Watch seems unaffected by his prolonged immersion, Apple does not recommend it at all and a dip of these features clearly invalidate the warranty clock in case of accident. The developers expect Apple explained that listen to requests much of users and create a fully submersible, SmartWatch for Apple Watch 2. As we read on MacRumors, this is not the first time we see Apple Watch good resistance to water, in the past we also saw a dive of 15 minutes without apparent consequences for the device.
