Cubot R8, The Best Clone of Apple Watch
Since Apple announced their first Smartwatch, the various Chinese manufacturers have been quick to present their clones, prices as always, very low. One is produced by the Cubot. Cubot R8 is a new Smartwatch that has characterized as a clone of Apple Watch and since a few days ago, is available in the Asian market.
As I said earlier, Cubot R8, may be defined in terms of aesthetics as a clone of Apple Watch, although obviously their software capabilities are somewhat limited. Surely the negative part of these watches that are occurring in the Chinese market are the absence of the Android Wear operating system.

In the technical features we find 32 MB of internal memory and 24 MB of RAM, which enables with the built-in notifications and alerts from a smartphone system. Obviously, we have a Bluetooth module, a 1.54-inch touchscreen IPS with a resolution of 240 × 240 pixels, a 250 mAh battery, a speaker and MediaTek MTK2501 processor running at 108 MHz.
The design, as already mentioned, just like Apple Watch, it also made of aluminum, with rounded corners, button on the right side and a leather strap. Cubot, the manufacturer has also made it known that the size of Cubot R8 is lower when compared with Apple, and has even declared this Smartwatch is the thinnest in terms of thickness, which is 8.8 mm.
Among the features or functions that we have in the Cubot R8, manage calls, messages and music, pedometer, clock, alarm, etc. Cubot R8 and can be purchased at a price of 59 euros and is compatible with IOS and Android 4.3 or later. The watch, apparently is also waterproof, although the company does not mention the type of IP certification that counts.
As we read in Gizmochina, for its features, the Cubot R8 is equipped with the usual functions found on most modern smart watches including a pedometer, a barometer, a thermometer, altimeter, and sleep monitoring.
The Cubot R8 is regarded by its company as the “slimmest smart watch in the world” as its main metal body only measure 8.8mm which is actually significantly thinner than the Apple Watch but that also means the R8 doesn’t feature the exact same curvature the Apple Watch has around its edges instead featuring slightly flatter sides. The watch is currently available at ComeBuy.com for a very competitive price of $66.90. It’s currently available in Silver or Gold.
