Android Wear Updated With Interesting News
Google knows that the Android Wear OS software is still a lot of room for improvement and it continues to work actively and strongly. The result of this work is to update and announced yesterday that adds several enhancements, each more interesting and we can all enjoy our smartwatches soon.
The first big news is the new interactive watchfaces that will allow us to see more and do more things from the home screen. Watchfaces is the image we see when we are not using our intelligent clock. Usually, we see them time and very little information, but from now this will change.
These new Watchfaces, Bits in which we can from watching the time to read our electronic run among other things, Under Armour that shows data about our physical activity or Pujie Black where we can see in detail our agenda are different events.
The second big news is the Android Watch Face will allow us to two users to share a space within each SmartWatch to transmit data, images, emoji, activities or information. Finally, it announced the arrival of WiFi support for LG G Watch R who had stayed behind and still did not have this function even though they had already been implemented with the previous update of android wear.
This new Google software update will be coming slowly and gradually from our smartwatches, so for now we have to wait and start enjoying the new features that are now available. Here are some of the examples Google gives in its post.
Bits: a collection of widgets that surround a central watch face, with email alerts, notifications, steps, the date, and your next calendar appointment.
Under Armour: a fitness companion from the well-known athletic wear company. Tap to switch between steps, distance walked, and calories burned.
Together: An app that lets you instantly share photos and sketches with a connected user. Presumably this is intended for spouses and the like.
Also, the update will include Google’s Translate functionality even without a connected app. Developers, check out this guide to the interactive watch face API for tips on how to create new faces or add this functionality to your current apps. We don’t have specific dates for when the updates will arrive, and of course they probably won’t come to every Android Wear watch at the same time. Stay tuned.
