Google Pixel C, 10,2 Inch Tablet with Android Marshmallow OS
In addition to announcing two series of Nexus smartphone, Google also announced the 10.2 inch sized tablet computer named Pixel C in a press conference held in San Francisco, California, USA, on Tuesday (9/29).
The tablet is not running the Chrome operating system, but Android 6.0 version code named Marshmallow.
Google designed this tablet with a simple design, similar to Chromecast, the portable computers that has been released in 2013 ago. Google made the Pixel C is for a reason. Google want a product that can compete with Microsoft Surface tablet computers and Apple iPad Pro.
Pixel C is powered by Nvidia Tegra X1 quad-core processors and 3G RAM. Google claimed this power able to handle work-related activities and entertainment.
The Tablet equipped with a screen resolution of 2,560 x 1,800 pixels with a density of 308 pixels per inch.
For wired connectivity, Google equips USB Type C for charging the battery and connected to a personal computer with a data cable.
The tablet is also juxtaposed with physical keyboard accessory to support user productivity. To be connected, the keyboard and the tablet is connected via a Bluetooth connection.
When the tablet and the keyboard is closed, it means the keyboard accessory automatically charges the battery power is taken from the tablet.
Google sells Pixel C in the United States with a starting price of US $ 499 for an 32 GB internal memory capacity and $ 599 for 64 GB, while the accessory keyboard for US $ 149.
Google planned to start selling the device at the end of the holiday period in 2015. Not yet known the availability and prices in other countries
