How to Use The Call and Message Features on The Samsung Gear S2

Welcome to the step-by-step video guide in which we will show you how to use the call and message features of the Samsung Gear S2 device. Please note, your Gear S2 needs to be connected to your Samsung device compatible with Gear S2.

To make a call,

1. First rotating the bezel clockwise or swipe from right to left to view the Quick Access panel. Tap Apps and select phone on the app screen, the phone screen has icons to access the keypad, your contacts, and call log.

2. To enter a phone number tap the keypad icon and enter a number then tap the outgoing call icon. To use registered numbers and contacts, tap contacts and select a contact and then tap the outgoing call icon.

Please note, call conversations are only possible via connected mobile device. When the other party answers your call, the call feature will automatically launch on your mobile device. Use your mobile device to have a conversation. When a call comes in, dragged to the right, the call feature automatically launch on your mobile device. Use your mobile device to have a conversation. To reject A call dragged to the left. If you missed a call, a notification appears on the screen. On the watch screen rotate the bezel counterclockwise to view your missed call notifications or tap phone on the Apps Screen to view your missed calls.

To send a message,

1. First rotate the bezel clockwise or swipe from right to left to view the quick access panel, tap apps and select messages on the apps screen.

2. Scroll to the message list, select the contact to view your conversation. To send messages tap Additional Options icon then rotate the bezel to a new message and then tap the new message icon tap on the recipient to add a number by the on-screen keypad, rotate the bezel clockwise to change the screen format to numbers and symbols then tap Next.

There are 4 ways to enter text, preset texts, voice input, emoticons, and keypad. Gear S 2 support various preset text messages.

You can also add additional text for quick response on your mobile device by tapping on the + icon. The Gear Manager app will open automatically on the journal messages screen. In the quick response field, you can create your own quick responses message. To enter text using voice input, tap the voice recognition icon. It will activate the S voice app. Check the agreement and tap agree.

You can use registered commands to enter text. If you tap emoticons, you can enter various emoticons. If you tap the keyboard icon, you can enter text. Rotate the bezel clockwise to access and enter numbers and symbols. Tap done once you have completed your message then tap send icon to send the message. You can check the message log lists on your connected mobile device.
