How to connect Samsung Gear S2 to Your Smartphone

Welcome to the step-by-step video in which we will show you how to connect the Samsung Gear S 2 and your Samsung Galaxy S 6 Edge + by Bluetooth. Note by connecting the Galaxy Gear S 2 to a mobile device you can use shared applications and features on the connected devices.

Press and hold the power home button for a few seconds to turn on the Gear S 2. Once you’ve turned on the gear, you will see the description animation of the Samsung Gear Manager app installation. In this example, we will connect the Gear S2 with a Galaxy S 6 +.

Your Galaxy S 6 + need to be connected to the internet before continuing. On the Home screen, tap apps then tap Settings then tap on the WiFi icon. Drag the WiFi setting icon to the right to enable the WiFi. Tap on the name of the network you wish to connect to. The Samsung Gear app is already pre-installed in the Galaxy S 6 edge +.

Go to the app screen tap on Tools then tap on the Samsung Gear. Note, if necessary please update the Samsung gear apps to the latest version.

If Samsung Gear Manager is not installed on your Galaxy Device, launch galaxy apps or visit apps.samsung.com/gear to download it. Please note, you can not install the Samsung Gear App on the Mobile Device that do not support Gear Syncing.

Tap connect to gear, the gear manager apps search for available Bluetooth devices automatically. When the Bluetooth pairing request window appears, confirm the pass-key displayed on your gear and mobile device match. Then tap OK, read the terms and conditions and tap the tick boxes to agree, then tap done.

If you want to sign-in to your Samsung Account tab sign in or if you want to sign later just tap skip. When the devices are connected, the Samsung gear apps main screen will be displayed on the mobile device and the clock screen will be displayed on the Gear S 2. Tap on notifications and scroll down to see apps you can add notifications for. To add additional items tap the tick box next to them. Tap on done to continue. And on-screen tutorial will appear on the gear S2 on the screen.
