If you are searching for an unique FPS game, then this is the end of your search. The concept is the same but at the same time it is different. In the normal FPS game, you pick up a gun on the store by buying it. Use the gun and then blow the hell out of everybody. Well, in the game Paladin you get to do the same but with a cooler skill and effect.
Description
Paladins is a hero-based cooperative shooter where teams brawl to capture and deliver objectives. Players select between a variety of champions, customizing their play style with cards and items. Each Heroes has their own set of skills, the concept of FPS game is being added in the game. Think of it as a MOBA style game combine with a shooting game which made it so awesome.
Gameplay
The first time you went into the game you will get a training to get to know the control of the game. It used the basic WASD control like any other FPS game. W to move forward, A to go left, S to go back and last D to go right.
The game is the same, click your mouse to shoot something and utilize your skills by using Q for skills and E for Ultimate. Although i said it is the same as MOBA games, it didn’t have a leveling system which made the game full skill based. You put out a fight with your team in a 5VS5 maps.
Players can further customize their characters by enhancing some abilities over others through an extensive card system. There are 2 card system, the burnable card system where you buy the card in game each time you went to the match and lastly the customize card where you can select it before going into the game. Both is very important with their own benefit.
The customize card system can help you in boosting your skills when playing the game. whereas the burnable card can help your basic stats like your defense, attack, and cool down reduction. (Note : i am just giving name to both card system myself. They probably have their official name, but i prefer that one as it is easier to be remember)
The game right now have a repeatable play style, where you need to capture the territory and escort the bomb to the opponent territory. The game have point system. If you capture the territory you get 1 point. If you escort the bomb you get 1 point. If you successfully defend the bomb you also get 1 point. You will win if you got 4 point in total.
Tips and Tricks
Utilize your skills to win the game. This is after all a skill based game where if you train hard by playing the game. You will definitely master it and like any other MOBA games, teamwork is important. Remember to choose a champion based on their use. For example use frontliner for tanking. Damage for damage dealing, Plank for Assassinating and Support for supporting the Front Liner.
In conclusion,this is an unique and entertaining game in my opinion. It utilize both FPS and MOBA aspect of each type of game well, and giving it to the player an unique exhilarating experiences. And also this is a cheap way to play if you don’t have enough money to buy Overwatch as it uses the same concept. Anyway, thank you for reading and have a nice day!
