Pokemon GO News, Ditto!
Finally the last original 151 original Pokemon has arrived. Ditto has finally been confirmed its appearance. The first being in November 22th. Ditto, which has the ability to take on the form and abilities of the other Pokémon it’s facing in battle, is finally available for players to catch.
How to Catch
Ditto appears to be hiding as one of several low-tier pokemon (those that hatch from 2km Eggs). Either being ratata, pidgey, or magikarp.
Once the masquerading Ditto has been caught, an “Oh?” will appear above the pokeball – not unlike a hatching egg – and in a cut scene, the fake Pokemon will switch forms and you will find that it was Ditto that was caught, and not the other Pokemon.
Unlike other Pokemon, Ditto only has one transform move (plus Struggle). Using Transform in a gym battle reportedly turns Ditto into a mimic of the opposing Pokemon – complete with the same moves and CP level.
To attack with combat moves, tap the screen when in battle and the Pokemon will unleash their attacks as fast as they are able. Repeated attacks will build up the bars on their special meter. When any or all bars are filled, hold down on the screen for a moment to unleash a special move.
