Errant – Hunter’s Soul is a game made by the Netease developer, and it is currently really popular because of its similarity with the Monster Hunter game, and plus there are so many things to be explore. So many quest to be finished and if you want to relax and stuff, you can always relax and do some farming, cooking, exploring and even fishing.
This game is awesome in both graphic and game play. However, one of the thing that is still a mystery is what type of weapon that is best for beginner, and such. Well, i won’t say what type of weapon that is great, but i will sort out the advantages and disadvantages of each weapon.
There are 7 types of weapon in Errant – Hunter’s Soul which is Spear and Shield, Katana, Heavy Sword, Dual Sword, Bow, Staff, and Gauntlet
1. Spear and Shield

- Very Useful in party play
- Able to Shield the monster attack, not affected by knock back.
- After shielding the attack, you can counter it by releasing the shield.
(Don’t need timing which is nice)
- Basic attack has a mid range

- Got a delay after every attack.
- Slow movement speed

2. Katana

- Have a mediocre speed compare to the other weapon
- Pretty easy to break the opponents parts.

3. Heavy Sword

- Able to charge a powerful attack
- Basic attack has mid range

- Got a really long delay after each attack

4. Dual Sword

5. Bow

- The attack is very slow
- Very long delay with each shot
- Needs to target the parts and enemies, sometime people forget this

6. Staff

- Able to hit precise attack by targeting the part that you want to break

- Defense is really low
- Slow movement speed
- If skill is in cool down, you are useless.

- Movement speed is really high compare to the other weapon
- Able to dodge the attack using your first skill if needed
- There are additional effect after some combos with Gauntlet
Making the gauntlet shine purple that will make the user attack twice in each basic attack
