NetEase Announce That They Might Cancel the Collaboration with Onmyoji Arena

NetEase recently announce that they won’t be going through the collaboration between Onmyoji Arena and Jujutsu Kaisen This is because of the controversy due to thanking Taiwan as a ‘country’ which made Chinese netizens angry and wanted to boycott Jujutsu Kaisen.

The effect is the collaboration of the anime/manga with the game developed by NetEase which is popular in the country Onmyoji. It is known that Onmyoji might thwart collaboration with Jujutsu Kaisen thereby bringing considerable losses. The latest information also states that NetEase will also compensate its players who have been waiting for the collaboration that has been teased by the NetEase Onmyoji.

Regarding the existing problem, NetEase has not provided any information, but many players are quite regretful about the long-awaited collaboration because quite a lot of people are waiting for the collaboration.

It should be noted here that if the Jujutsu Kaisen collaboration is cancelled, NetEase who have teased the release of the collaboration and have devoted a lot of their resources to handling the in-game design will definitely be affected, so there is a possibility that it will be shut down at worst.
