Eric Barone, the creator of Stardew Valley, recently disclosed on Twitter that the game he’s working on, Haunted Chocolatier, will have little to do with Stardew Valley. The game was announced last October with a gameplay trailer that shows a brief gameplay leak in which players take care of a chocolate factory with the help of a little ghost.

Despite his links, Barone stated that he intended the Haunted Chocolatier game to be his own, distinct from his prior game. In his tweet, Barone also stated that Stardew Valley will receive the current patch, however, it will simply be a mod update with little new material for the farming simulation game.

Stardew Valley was published in 2016 and is a farming simulation that’s inspired by Harvest Moon. Eric Barone, the developer from Stardew Valley, has returned to create a new game, Haunted Chocolatier!
