Front Mission 2089 Mobile, Backed by Square Enix Is Said to Be Cancelled
Front Mission 2089 Borderscape, a mobile game developed by ZlongGames with BlackJack and supported by Square Enix, has apparently been cancelled. This report is known, as are rumours that two co-developers have stopped working on Front Mission 2089: Borderscape.
This game was actually announced 6 months ago, and the developer has also released the game’s pre-registration and received a large number of interested registrants.
Front Mission 2089 Mobile Cancelled:
The developer has not provided a reason for the game’s termination, but they did mention in a short message on the official website that after analyzing the game version, out of respect for the Front Mission series, both sides finally revealed that they would cancel the game production for IP Front Mission.
The main website, official social accounts on Twitter and Facebook, and all videos relating to the game’s development have all been removed, implying that game production is no longer taking place.
Game developer BlackJack also releases a new title Mecharashi for a new game that may be similar to Front Mission 2089 Borderscape. The beta test for Mecharashi itself is being worked on until December 16th and will be completed on December 29th, but has a different plot despite having similar gameplay.
