Main Problem Being a Geo Main in Genshin Impact
In the game Genshin Impact, the Geo element is underrepresented with only three 5-star characters that use it, and these characters are mostly supporting characters rather than DPS characters.
There are currently few characters in Genshin Impact that utilize the Geo element, with only three being 5-star characters: Zhongli, Albedo, and Arataki Itto. These characters, which were released in updates 1.1, 1.2, and 2.3 respectively, are mainly supporting characters, with Arataki Itto being the only one with DPS capabilities.
Due to the limited representation of the Geo element and the lack of a strong Geo DPS character, players of Genshin Impact are interested in the addition of a new, 5-star Geo character to the game.
The Problem Being a Geo Main in Genshin Impact:
In Genshin Impact, the Geo element does not have many interactions with other elements in combat due to the limited number of reactions it has.
One of these reactions is called Crystalize, which creates a weak shield. The strength of this shield is dependent on a character’s elemental mastery (EM) stat, but most Geo characters do not prioritize EM as they focus on defense (DEF) or health points (HP) instead.
The Crystalize shield is also not very effective at protecting against damage, especially in the later stages of the game. Additionally, the character Gorou is able to provide a boost to Geo damage, making the element appear to only have meaningful reactions when used on itself.
Geo Players Are Asking for More Characters:

Players of Genshin Impact have expressed frustration about the lack of new Geo characters, with the last one, Yun Jin, having been released over a year ago.
Yun Jin is one of the few Geo characters that can effectively work with non-Geo characters, particularly Kamiyato Ayato and Yoimiya
A Reddit post discussing this issue received over 3.4k upvotes and comments from players who also noted the underrepresentation of the Geo element. There is debate among players about whether or not the Geo element is overpowered in Genshin Impact.
However, there is no information regarding new Geo Characters from Hoyoverse yet, and we still need to wait for the update. Genshin Impact is a game released on mobile, PC and console!
