UU Game Booster App Review – Is It Worth It?

Now that you know about game boosters, you might wonder if they actually work. Personally, I play games made by NetEase, such as Identity V, Rules of Survival, and Onmyoji Arena. While these games are great, my phone sometimes lags, which led me to discover an app made by NetEase called UU Game Booster.

Before I dive into my review, let’s take a look at what this app promises to do:

1. You will experience a lag free gaming.
2. It is stable and smooth.
3. Effectively Reduce ping and Lags.
4. and lastly it is a easy to use.

I was a bit interested in trying out the apps, especially after playing a game made by the same developer. If they were brave enough to make a game booster, it meant that the developer was confident that the game they created would be boosted enough not to cause any problems, right? Well, at least that’s what I thought.

The game booster starts by explaining its worth to you. It explains how it can boost your gaming performance by clearing up your RAM and other features you might find in other game boosters.

It also explains how it can improve your ping by maximizing and stabilizing your internet connection, providing you with the best possible server for the game (It works like a VPN but the app chooses the server on its own). It also lets you know your in-game ping and how much the app boosts the game overall.

After trying it out for three NetEase games (Identity V, Onmyoji Arena, and Rules of Survival), I have concluded that the app does not work. Let’s list what the app promised:

1. You will experience lag-free gaming: While the game did become smoother, I don’t think it was lag-free. It almost felt the same before and after using the game booster.
2. It is stable and smooth: Not at all. In fact, I didn’t feel any difference before and after using the app.
3. Effectively reduce ping and lags: This was the main reason I downloaded the app. Unfortunately, the app didn’t do anything to improve my pings and lags. In fact, I feel like my ping got worse because of this app. For example, while playing the Global Identity V game in the Asia server, without the UU Game Booster, I had an average of 250ms ping, but with it, I got about 300ms to 500ms. There were rare times when my ping suddenly dropped to 120ms, but it was short-lived, and I soon spiked up to 999ms, which was frustrating.
4. Lastly, it is easy to use: Honestly, this is probably the only thing that worked about the app. It is easy to use but unfortunately doesn’t work as advertised.
