NIKKE, a popular mobile game among players worldwide, has recently faced harsh criticism from Chainsaw Man fans regarding the character design of Makima, whose cloak obscures her buttocks, a key asset in the game. Makima’s striking character design has been one of the reasons why players are drawn to the game.

The backlash caught the attention of the game developers, who responded by offering a costume option for Makima without the cloak in the upcoming March 2 update. However, there is a catch: players must first own the Makima character to obtain the costume, which will be available for a limited time. So players who forget to get it during the event will miss out on the opportunity.

Makima is Getting the Option to Remove Her Cloak

NIKKE Makima

The Chainsaw Man x NIKKE collaboration update was released on February 22, allowing players to pull for limited characters Makima (SSR), Power (SSR), and Himeno (SR). However, Makima’s design in the collaboration disappointed many players, as her cloak obscured her “selling point,” and the fan service that most players were expecting was missing.

In the game industry, keeping existing players satisfied and meeting their expectations is crucial. The quick response of the game developers to the players’ complaints can be a significant factor in retaining existing players and attracting new ones.

This can serve as a lesson to other game developers to listen to and consider their fans’ wishes to create more likeable updates
