The much-anticipated release of Demon Slayer season 3 is almost here, with an exact release date of Sunday, April 9, 2023, and a new English dub trailer to check out.

However, the launch of season 3 is a little unconventional, with the first episode debuting in a theatrical event on March 3, which will include the end of last season and the Swordsmith Village Arc.

Demon Slayer Season 3 New Arc Information

This new arc sees Tanjiro visiting a village of swordsmiths and engaging in a tough battle against a deluded demon who can split itself into four separate bodies and regenerate almost instantly.

The Swordsmith Village Arc is expected to cover around 25 chapters of the manga and be similar to the Entertainment District Arc, which means around a 10-12 episode season.

Fans believe that the show may end with season 4, given the current pace of the series and how fast they are moving through the source material.

The main demon in this arc will be Hantengu, who is Upper Rank Four of the Twelve Kizuki, and will prove to be a formidable challenge for the main characters.

The release of the first episode as part of a movie event may seem strange, but it’s a smart move given the success of the Mugen Train movie, which made nearly half a billion dollars worldwide.

Fans can expect more of these events in the future. In the meantime, the new English dub trailer for season 3 is worth watching, even though it doesn’t feature a ton of new footage.
