Realme C55, Specification and Price

Realme has launched the Realme C55, the latest addition to its C-series lineup of smartphones. One of its key features is the inclusion of Apple’s Dynamic Island-like Mini Capsule, making it the first Realme smartphone to have this feature.

The Mini Capsule will show low battery alerts, charging status, and data consumption, as well as the user’s daily step count and walking distance. However, data usage and step count will not be available out of the box and will arrive later via an OTA update.

Realme C55 Specification:

Another standout feature of the Realme C55 is its 33W SuperVOOC charging, an upgrade from the 18W charging found in the C35. This makes the C55 the fastest-charging C-series smartphone to date. Realme has also announced that most of its smartphones in 2023 will support 33W or faster charging.

The Realme C55 is powered by the Helio G88 SoC and runs Android 13-based Realme UI 4.0 out of the box. It also comes with up to 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and a dedicated microSD card slot for storage expansion of up to 1TB.

The smartphone features a 6.72″ FullHD+ 90Hz screen with a peak brightness of 680 nits. However, the fingerprint scanner is not embedded underneath the display but is located in the power button on the right side of the phone’s frame.

The camera department includes a front-facing 8MP selfie camera and a rear-facing 64MP primary camera along with a depth sensor. Other features of the Realme C55 include USB-C, a 3.5mm headphone jack, NFC, and Dirac’s audio tuning. It is 7.89mm thick and comes in Rainy Night and Sunshower colors.

How much is Realme C55?

The Realme C55 is priced at IDR2,499,000 ($160/€150) for the 6GB/128GB model and IDR2,999,000 ($195/€180) for the 8GB/256GB version. It will be available for purchase in Indonesia starting March 8th at noon local time, with a limited-time discount of IDR100,000 ($6/€6) on both models.
