Call of Duty Mobile is Still Going Strong, Activision Denies Shut Down Rumor
The popular FPS game Call of Duty Mobile, developed by Activision, recently made headlines with rumours circulating that the game would be shut down. However, the developers have since announced that they have no plans to close the game and are fully committed to continuing its development.
The rumours started in January 2023 when Microsoft Gaming purchased Activision Blizzard, the studio behind the Call of Duty franchise, for $68.7 billion. Since then, there have been talks that Call of Duty: Mobile will be replaced to make way for another action title, Warzone Mobile, but nothing has been confirmed.
A few days ago, there was sudden speculation about the possibility of CODM’s closure, with many social media pages and popular CODM content creators indicating the same. While some stated that the game would not be shut down, everything indicated the franchise’s possible end.
Activision Denies All Rumor, There are Going to Be Lots of Content Instead
However, Activision has put an end to all such speculation and confirmed that the Call of Duty Mobile will not be shut down, which is undoubtedly good news for its fans. The developers also confirmed that there will be updates for a long time, with lots of fresh content on the way, and we might see an updated game map soon.
