Indian smartphone manufacturer, Lava, has announced the launch date of their upcoming Agni 2 smartphone: May 16. The company confirmed this through their official Twitter account, also revealing that the phone will be available exclusively on Amazon.

Those interested in the launch event can tune in to the stream on YouTube or Facebook at 12 PM local time. Along with the announcement, Lava shared an image of the Agni 2’s camera island, which features four sensors and a flash, each with its own circular mini-islands.

Previously leaked specs for the Agni 2 include an AMOLED screen with an embedded fingerprint sensor, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and Android 13 out of the box. The device will also be the first phone in India to launch with the new MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset. While the exact price has not been confirmed, rumors suggest that the Agni 2 will cost INR 19,999.
