Forza Horizon 1 and 2 Server will Closed in August 2023

Turn 10, the developer of Forza Horizon (2012) and Forza Horizon 2 (2014), has announced the upcoming closure of the game servers on August 22nd. The decision stems from a decline in player base and the removal of both games from the Microsoft Store. However, players who already own these titles will still be able to enjoy the single-player experience, while certain online features will be inaccessible after the server shutdown.

On August 22, 2023, Turn 10 will officially shut down the servers for the games. The developer has determined that these games no longer maintain a significant player base, leading to the decision to conclude their online services. Additionally, the games have been removed from the Microsoft Store, making them unavailable for purchase.

For players who currently possess the game the closure of the servers does not mean the end of gameplay. Single-player features will still be accessible, allowing individuals to enjoy the immersive world of these racing titles.
