OnePlus has announced that the stable version of OxygenOS 14, based on Android 14, will be released on September 25th. Prior to the stable release, a public beta build of OxygenOS 14 will be made available in the coming days specifically for the OnePlus 11, OnePlus 11R, and OnePlus Nord 3 smartphones.

While it is suggested that the OnePlus 11 may be the first device to receive the stable update on September 25th, OnePlus has not explicitly confirmed which models will receive the update on that date.

However, it is expected that the OnePlus 11R and Nord 3 will also receive the update shortly after, even if not on the same day. It’s worth noting OnePlus’ commendable commitment to a swift Android update rollout, as they have included the mid-range Nord 3 in the initial batch of updates rather than prioritizing flagship devices.

What can we expect from OxygenOS 14?

OnePlus has highlighted that OxygenOS 14 will bring improvements in areas such as CPU Vitalization, RAM Vitalization, ROM Vitalization, HyperBoost, HyperTouch, and HyperRendering. However, specific details regarding these enhancements have not been provided by OnePlus.

While questions remain around the specifics of the upgrade, OnePlus is clearly committed to a swift rollout of OxygenOS 14. Being first to market with Android 14 would be a major accomplishment. We look forward to learning more details from OnePlus’ public beta and official launch later this month. Their speedy update plans bode well for continued support across devices.
