Apple Unveils iPhone 15 and iOS 17 Release Date – In a grand unveiling event held today, Apple has officially introduced the world to the iPhone 15 lineup, including the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max. But that’s not all – Apple also took the wraps off the Apple Watch Series 9 and the highly-anticipated Apple Watch Ultra 2.

However, there’s more good news to share! The company has also announced the release date for the next major iOS update. iOS 17 has been through a beta testing phase throughout the summer, and it’s finally set to hit the digital shelves on Monday, September 18.

Apple’s iOS 17 Launch Date: Monday, September 18

On this date, all iPhones still receiving support will receive this update free of charge through over-the-air updates. iPhones from the 2nd generation SE, iPhone XR, XS, XS Max, and newer models will be in the lucky bunch. Unfortunately, this does not include the iPhone X or older models.

One notable advantage of Apple’s approach, as opposed to Google’s, is the certainty of the release date. Apple provides the software update to anyone who desires it on the day of its release. With Google, there’s often a staggered rollout that can leave some users waiting for days to receive the latest update.

Not here, though. If you’re eager to get your hands on iOS 17 as soon as possible, simply check your Settings on Monday after 10 AM California time, and like magic, the update will be there for you to enjoy.
