Earlier this month, OnePlus made headlines by announcing the upcoming release of Android 14 for the OnePlus 11, scheduled for September 25. However, this timeline now appears less likely to materialize, given that Google has yet to release Android 14 in its stable version, with reports suggesting it will be unveiled on October 4, following the Pixel 8 series announcement.

But here’s the good news for OnePlus 11 users in India and North America – you won’t have to wait long to get a taste of Android 14. OnePlus has officially announced the arrival of OxygenOS 14 Beta 1, based on Android 14, for this smartphone.

If you’re in India, ensure that your OnePlus 11 is running firmware versions CPH2447_13.1.0.590(EX01) or CPH2447_13.1.0.591(EX01) before enrolling in the beta program. North American units should be on firmware CPH2451_13.1.0.590(EX01).

Before installing OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 1, your OnePlus 11 should have at least 4GB of free storage and a battery level of at least 30%.

OnePlus is providing 5,000 slots for beta testers and has already started accepting applications. You can find the changelog for OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 1 below.

However, it’s worth noting that beta software often comes with bugs that can disrupt the user experience and is generally recommended for use on secondary devices.

OnePlus has even shared some known issues with Open Beta 1, which we’ll detail below.
