Exploring Funtouch OS 14: What’s New?

Funtouch OS 14 brings several key enhancements, with a focus on five core areas: Personalization, Productivity, Multi-tasking, Smoothness, and Privacy:

Personalization: The lock screen now offers three clock layouts, eight font styles, and smart color selection. You can also apply a monochromatic color palette to match your wallpapers, a feature inspired by Material You design and known as MY Color Palette. Additionally, there are over 90 Always-On Display styles available in the Theme Store, along with the ability to set different ringtones for different SIM cards.

Productivity: A suite of new video editing tools is introduced, allowing for original quality, lossless video export. You can export videos in up to 4K resolution at 60 FPS. An array of 25 new video editing filters, presented with improved thumbnails, enhances your video editing experience. Users can now adjust video playback speed, enable loop playback, and capture screenshots for an improved video playback experience.

Multi-tasking: The Mini Window feature simplifies multi-tasking by allowing apps to function in a small window while running in the background. Users can have up to 12 small windows active simultaneously, supporting side-swipe suspension.

Smoothness: Funtouch OS 14 introduces RAM Saver, Extended RAM 3.0, Motion Blur, and App Retainer features. RAM Saver can release up to 600MB of space for faster app start-ups, while Extended RAM 3.0 allows up to 36 apps to run concurrently in the background on smartphones with 12GB RAM (or up to 27 apps with 8GB RAM). App Retainer ensures that whitelisted apps in the background are restored to their last interface, offering an interruption-free experience.

Privacy: Privacy enhancements include improved App Hiding, password protection for hidden photos, and Screen Mirroring. Screen Mirroring prevents notification pop-ups during mirrored phone content on another device. App Hiding, while not entirely new, now supports Google apps.

The Android 14-based Funtouch OS 14 is poised to transform the way you experience your vivo or iQOO smartphone. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting journey into the world of Android customization and productivity.
