In Reverse: 1999, the combat system is pretty cool but can get tough. To get through the hardest parts, you can use the tutorial in any story chapter. It helps you understand the game and get better at fighting the tough battles.

There are different tutorials you can check out, and at the end, there are three big tests. These tests can be tricky, especially the “Play a Waiting Game” challenges. Let’s talk about how to beat them.

How to Pass “Play a Waiting Game”

Battle Setup: The second test checks how good you are at solving problems and planning. You’ll have Schneider, Regulus, and Eagle on your team.

Battle Strategy: The enemy attacks a different ally each turn. You can use specific characters to trick the enemy and keep them away from your main targets.

1. Turn 1: First use”One with Guns,” next “Sinner,” and last “Treat for the Ears” on the Steel Guardian. This will leave it with a bit of health. It will then attack Schneider and Regulus, making them weak.
2. Turn 2: Use “Old Pocket Watch” to finish off the Steel Guardian. Then, use the 2-star “Challenge for the Eyes” and 2-star “Finger Lens” to take out both Shadow Blades.
3. Turn 3: Use “One with Guns” to weaken the Ace Executioner. Then, use “Finger Lens” and “Old Pocket Watch” to defeat it.

By beating the Ace Executioner, you finish this challenge and unlock the third test, “Visionary Insights.” Understanding and mastering these challenges will make you a pro at Reverse: 1999. Good luck!
