G-STAR 2023 has brought some big news from Netmarble, with not just one but three new games revealed for fans. For sci-fi MMORPG enthusiasts, there’s a special treat – the super popular RF Online is getting a sequel after almost two decades. Say hello to RF Online Next, a game that plans to shake things up with a fresh take on the original’s core gameplay, all powered by Unreal Engine 5.

RF Online Next, New Mobile Games From The Nostalgic MMO

RF Online Next

The story in RF Online Next sticks to the magical-meets-machines theme, just like its predecessor. But this time, they’re cranking it up a notch. The old game, played by a whopping 20 million people, was limited to one planet. Next, however, is going big with a vast space setting, setting the stage for some intense planetary battles. Get ready for the comeback of those epic realm vs realm showdowns, but on a much grander scale.

You’ll have six different bio-suits to choose from, each bringing something unique to the table. Swap between them as needed, and if things get really hairy, you can call in massive robots for some high-octane action. They’ve even thrown in a free-flight system to help you navigate through altitude changes, boosts, landings, and hovering, making exploration a breeze.

RF Online Next isn’t just about battles; it’s got a story mode too. Expect high-quality cutscenes and cinematic battles as you interact with key members in the Novas faction. And who knows, some familiar faces from the past might make a comeback. The event mode is all about facing relentless machine attacks in a special arena filled with fierce beasts – it’s wave after wave of action.

The game is still in development, so there’s a lot they’re keeping secret for now. Stay tuned for more updates on RF Online Next – we’re sure there’s more exciting stuff to come!
