The Xiaomi 14 Ultra is rumored to be on its way, and recently, we got a glimpse of the camera island’s protective glass, revealing that only the camera sensors will see an update – the overall design will stay the same as the Xiaomi 13 Ultra.

From the leaked image, the main camera is set to have a brighter f/1.6 aperture, while the periscope telephoto will use an f/2.5 lens upfront. Once again, the camera will come with Leica’s tuning.

Xiaomi loves to switch up the appearance of its flagship phones from one generation to another, and since the Ultra moniker became part of the lineup, there hasn’t been a repeat in design.

This either means the leak isn’t genuine or Xiaomi is exceptionally content with the work it did last year; for once, they decided not to fix what isn’t broken.

If this holds true, we anticipate a Sony LYT-900 sensor with a variable aperture for the main camera, according to previous reports.

The biggest question is whether the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will be a globally available phone or if the company will disappoint its fans by launching the phone exclusively in China, as it did with the 11 Ultra and 12S Ultra.
