Guardian Tales Update Season 2 with World 18

Kakao Games has revealed an exciting update for Guardian Tales, wrapping up season 2 with World 18: Two Heroes. This update introduces players to a new area, World 18, and unveils a mysterious new hero, the Plague Doctor.

To mark the occasion, a celebratory event is underway, running until February 19th. Players logging in during this period will receive 3,000 free gems, 50 free hero/equipment summons, and access to exclusive rift stage missions. These missions allow players to earn points exchangeable for additional rewards.

While details about the Plague Doctor remain scarce, Kakao Games suggests this character may only reveal itself to those willing to make the ‘ultimate sacrifice’. Let’s hope this primarily applies to enemy NPCs rather than players themselves!

Guardian Tales offers straightforward yet captivating puzzle and combat mechanics set within a charming retro pixel-art world. Having celebrated its third anniversary in 2023, the game will mark its fourth year since release in July 2024. Its retro-RPG allure was further enhanced through a collaboration with the beloved fantasy anime, Slayers, back in 2022.
