Cosplay and virtual streamer Keekihime recently shared a harrowing experience involving a stalker who assaulted her at a prominent event in Japan. Known for her vibrant presence in the cosplay and streaming communities, Keekihime attended Comiket, a major Japanese convention, where she engaged with fans and fellow cosplayers. However, what began as a celebratory day quickly took a dark turn when she encountered a stalker who had been obsessively following her for years.

During the event, Keekihime posted on social media that she would be on the rooftop of the venue for a limited time, a routine update for her fans. Unfortunately, this public information led her longtime stalker to her exact location.

The individual, who had previously stalked Keekihime, approached her by jumping over a barrier and physically grabbing her. Despite her immediate screams for help, the situation escalated before event staff could intervene. The traumatic encounter left Keekihime shaken, resulting in a panic attack in front of the crowd.

Keekihime later tweeted about the incident, expressing her disgust and shock. She also asked those who had captured the event on camera to send her any photos of the assailant, intending to identify him publicly if legally permissible.

Keekihime Have A History of Harassment

Keekihime’s encounter at Comiket is not an isolated incident. During a subsequent livestream, she detailed her years-long history with this stalker, including previous reports to the police. The stalker has repeatedly harassed her both online and in person, and despite her attempts to evade him, the situation culminated in the recent assault.

Keekihime criticized the local authorities for their inadequate response, revealing that the police informed her they could do little because she does not reside in Japan. This revelation has sparked outrage among her followers, who are calling for better protection for public figures and content creators facing similar threats.

A Call for Better Protection

This disturbing incident underscores the vulnerability of content creators, especially those who frequently interact with the public. Keekihime’s experience highlights the urgent need for more effective measures to protect individuals from stalking and harassment, both online and in person.

As her story spreads, it serves as a stark reminder of the dangers that can accompany public visibility, urging the community to demand stronger safeguards and support systems for those targeted by such threats.
